The main landmarks seen in these views are St. Patrick's Church in the center; behind the spire is the Larkspur City Hall, with the Fire House to the left. King St. runs diagonally from the bottom, and at the top in the distance are the Bay and San Quentin. In these earlier shots can be seen the old wooden St. Patrick's church building at the corner of King and Locust, here mostly obscured by the tree in the lower left, but more visible in the accompanying full photo (link at the right).

In early 1955, the partially-wooded hill near the upper left has but a few months to live.
