Larkspur > Laurel & Hazel View > Why?
Well, as you can see, the "Laurel & Hazel View" isn't really from the intersection of Laurel & Hazel. However, no walk around the Arch Street neighborhood was complete without making the circle those two streets formed about the eucalyptus-covered knoll. Anyway, the sound of it was just fun; more often than not we (Will and I) referred to it as "walking around Laurel and Hardy."

The official Picture Spot was upon a brick-topped concrete wall at the top of the driveway for that particular household. The shots from 1955 are the earliest that seem to have been taken; this tradition, therefore, dates from the very beginnings of another: Will and Paul walks through the hills of Larkspur (more about those in the 1955 Panorama section).
