The Larkspur Boardwalk crossing the slough to the "arks" along the channel of the Corte Madera Creek. Further out, Wood Island, adjacent to what is now Larkspur Landing.
Today you'd be looking down Doherty Drive, past Henry C. Hall School, Piper Park and Riviera Circle.
The island out in the slough with the clumps of trees was leveled a couple years after this to serve as the foundation for Redwood High School.
The houses on the near hill are on Cedar Ave.
A thick row of trees marks the northern slope of Palm Hill in the middle distance. Beyond that, the northern slopes of the Tiburon Peninsula.
The Fire House and City Hall are fully in view in downtown Larkspur. At the bottom, the head end of today's King Mountain Loop Trail.
In the foreground would be the upper reaches of such streets as Sycamore, Willow, Holly, Bond and Vine.
Take a giant hop over the middle ridge and you'd be in Madrone (aka Baltimore) Canyon.
The dirt road going up this slope is now part of the King Mountain Loop Trail.
