Preview GeoKron® -- Below are actual pictures of GeoKron® running on a Pocket PC

  • Current city is "San Francisco"
  • Local time in San Francisco is 6:00 PM
  • The Pocket PC time zone is Pacific Standard Time
  • Local times in other cities are shown, the ¤ character means that daylight savings is in effect
  • The world map shows where it is light and dark (and in twilight)
  • Show from 2 to 5 of your cities right on the Pocket PC Today Screen
  • Click on the down arrow next to the city name to select a different city in that slot
  • Click the blue circle to change the current city to one of the other cities
  • This changes the time zone of the Pocket PC to Eastern Standard Time - notice the Pocket PC's clock has changed to be the same time as New York
  • As you travel from city to city, simply change the current city and your Pocket PC, and all your appointments and reminders, will use the local time.
  • Click on any city to get more information about that city.
  • The city's (London's)  location is shown on the world map

  • Click on the world map to see the current time in cities around the world.  The current time in Moscow is 5:00 AM, and daylight savings time is in effect.
  • Click anywhere on the yellow tab to close it, or just wait a few seconds and it will close automatically
  • Click the Zoom button to zoom the world map, and center it to Moscow
  • Now the world map is zoomed in on Moscow.
  • The red circle shows the location of Moscow.
  • Click the magnifying glass in the upper right to un-zoom the map.
  • The tools menu gives you access to all the other things that GeoKron can do
  • You can set an alarm on your Pocket PC to go off when it is a given time in any of the cities.  No need to translate from another time zone.
  • Need to call London at 9PM London Time?  Just set an alarm with GeoKron
  • View Airport codes for the cities
  • View phone codes for the cities
  • Calculate the sunrise and sunset for any of the cities
  • Sunrise and sunset is shown in city local time
  • Twilight time is also shown depending on your preferences settings
  • Calculate the moonrise and moonset for any of the cities
  • Moonrise and moonset is shown in city local time
  • The prior and next phases of the moon is also shown in the city's local time
  • The time calculator shows you what time it is in other cities when it is a particular time in another city
  • The distance calculator shows you how far it is between cities, and how long it takes to travel between them
  • You can choose approximate speeds of different transportation modes from the scrollbar on the bottom
  • Travel times are very approximate, but fun to look at
  • You can set your device time directly with the time and date settings
  • If your device is connected to the internet, you can also synchronize your clock to very accurate internet time
  • You can add, delete, or edit cities from the city list
  • View or edit information about London
  • Change the time-zone or view daylight savings time information about London
  • View or edit the location of London
  • The preferences screen allows you to set several preferences that are used throughout GeoKron
  • Some preferences (like alarm sounds) are set through the device's control panel
