we stood back as yves drove down the street, with the loud harley making a very familiar american sound. we watched them roll to the intersection a block away. they turned left on the main road to breval and disappeared.

we went inside and returned to the table. christine brought out leftovers. more wine was opened, but now margueritte, delphine and i were drinking water. delphine packed up adrian and left. margueritte asked christian about his work. he is an executive hairdresser, for men only. christian asked about our plans for our visit to france. we said we were going to buy a museum pass tomorrow and spend the week going to the musee du louvre, musee d'orsay, musee picasso, the pompidou and other places. christian recommended taking a night time fly boat tour of paris, where dinner is served on the boat. he said the views are beatiful from the seine

phillippe proposed that we meet in paris at a restaurant next sunday. we agreed to communicate by email to arrange the meal. it was dark when we left, and 11:00 pm when christian dropped us off at rue duvivier.
