Aster latifolious "Prince" is an outstanding perennial for the garden. Foliage emerges dark purple in the early spring and holds its color all season. Foliage is darkest in full sun. Loose growth habit is not floppy in full sun. Once established it is drought tolerant. 2’-3’ tall. Small white daisies cover the plant in late summer. Similar to Aster ‘Lady in Black’ but it stays in small clumps rather than producing a colony.
