Content Developer Tips
Once the designer gives you the mock up it will probably need some modification
  • put a border around the table which holds the page elements and take a look at there everything goes.
  • look at the image file names and see if they make sense to you
  • make a back up copy of the code so as you modify it, if you break it you can return to the original
  • take out unnecessary tags such as extra font tags.

Nested tables will probablybe required on all sites. If you have never created nested tables - I recommend you practice on dummy images ASAP so you can begin to understand how nr=ested tables work.

You will also be given a template explanation by the designer. read it over after the meeting and ask questions if you are confused. It is normal to find the process confusing and the designer is eager to work with you to clear up any confusion.

After you make 1-2 pages using the template, load the files onto the Web and email the designer to allow them to review the pages and correct any minor errors. This is the work model you need to follow for all the pages at the site. the CD and designer need to be in constant communication as the site is produced.
