8/26- Client is notified that they have been chosen for a team. Client continues to gather information for the site and surf the web for sites they like. Identify goals they want to achieve with their site.
9/2- Project Manager contacts client and sets up first meeting. Questions regarding the Web site will be sent to the client, so they can prepare answers for the First meeting.
9/9- First Client Meeting held on or before this date- client brings as much content as they can and answers to the questions. Don't worry if you can't answer some of the questions, the team can help you resolve areas of confusion. (milestone)
9/9 thru 9/16- Team works on preparing a web proposal based on the information shared at the first meeting.
9/16 - 50% of content produced by client. This may require another meeting with the team or an individual team member so that content can be delivered. (milestone)
9/23 thru 10/7- Team continues to work on Web proposal and begins to place client content onto the Web in a shell site. Client continues to gather content.
10/7- 10/14 Client reviews and signs off on proposal - which includes the design, storyboard, list of deliverables, and content of shell site (milestone) 100% of content submitted by 10/14 , content frozen, all content is due, no content updates will be accepted past this point. The design has also been approved by this point and cannot be altered.
10/21 thru 11/18- For the next few weeks the team creates site.
11/18 - Test the site with the client. Client will be asked to provide typical users which will be included in the testing process.
11/18 thru 12/9- Team corrects any broken links or typos which were discovered during testing (milestone)
12/16- Handoff site to client (milestone)
12/16- Class ends - client attends final presentation
* Please note - content is defined as the words that will go on the Web page. The images which will be used by the designer are not counted as part of content when meeting the various class deadlines.
