The general target represents persons looking for literacy services, persons wishing to offer literacy services, literacy agencies that wish to connect with each other, and viewers who are curious about literacy information.
The common user is seen as one who lives in the Sonoma County area where access speeds vary from 14.4k to DSL speeds. Most commonly, 56k, and DSL.

Additional

A legally blind internet user was asked to review the site using "Window Eyes" screen reading software, and reported no difficulties with the site. All alt tags seem to be in place, and giving thier cues.

Synopsis

Funtionality of the site overall is good under the various conditions tested. One feature does not work reliably. The "print" button on the html form fails in IExplore on a Macintosh (developer is aware), but the added instructions to print from the file menu, or use command keys works without fail. This is a minor issue that does not need to be changed given the easy work around.

T-1 load speeds were reported slower than speeds on a 33.6 modem, but this may well be due to the bog down on a crowded network, and correction for this can not be made on end.

The site appears to have been designed with smaller monitors, older browsers, and slower modems in mind which increases its funtionality with newer/faster equipment. The site can be viewed without difficulty by the widest range of viewers.
