Of Web Design Web Graphics A&B HTML A&B Illustrator Photoshop Telecommunications (intro) Front Page Eight Hour intensives: Access Word Pagemaker Upcoming: Flash Project Role: As the designer, I used the information supplied by the client to create a web site suited to their needs. The client wanted a site representative of their typical users, business owners and human resource managers for the high tech and wine industries. The client requested a site that would print without using a lot of ink. What I learned from the project: Of the many things I learned from this experience, the most important ones were: working as a team, sticking with the schedule, and actively listening to everyone involved. I tend to be a leader, and pulling the reins in on my personality was vital.
Wayne Stagner: w.stagner@att.net, 707-568-0584 Employment Objective: I plan to expand my present business to include the development and maintenance of web sites. Skills: I own and operate a sales agency for industrial mechanical equipment. I will use my experience in sales and marketing and my newly gained web development skills to build web sites that will produce increased business for other companies in the same type of business. Courses: Beginning and Advanced HTML, Business of Web Development. I hold a B.S. in Engineering and an MBA. Project Role: As Project Manager, I coordinated the activities of the group and the interaction with the client. A pleasant job, due to effective and cooperative team members and a client who is enthusiastic and well organized. What I learned from the project: While things will never quite work out as planned, they won't work out at all if you have no plan. Patience and confidence in the members of the team are the most important elements of project management.
Abby Krumel: abbyk@cableone.net, (707) 575-4596 Employment Objective: Intern (or contract) positions working with content development, html code cleanup, site maintenance, server log analysis, and site marketing. Skills: Meetings; data organization and analysis; HTML; rudimentary Photoshop and Illustrator; FTP. If one way doesn't work, try it again. After that, try something else. Courses: Designing Internet Web Pages A & B. Intro to PhotoShop & Intermediate Photoshop. Graphics with Illustrator. Access & Advanced Access. Applied Design Graphics for the Non-designer. Web Content Practicum. Project Role: Co Content Developer. Placed content into pages, and then wrestled with the existing template code until the pages displayed properly. Added alt tags, and uploaded some of the pages. Created one graphic in Illustrator. What I learned from the project: Web work is fun. Working in groups is fun, and occasionally frustrating. Accessibility is more important than most designers and developers realise. Linda Hemenway knows a lot about Web Site Development, and how to teach it.

Project Role: I was one of two content developers on this project. It was my job to take the content provided by the Client and make it work with the template provided by the project Designer. What I learned from the project: Working on this project gave me a broader view of the process of developing a website as a team effort. I came to appreciate the importance of having a detailed plan and timeline to keep the project on track. I learned to work with a template.
