Employment Objective: I am presently starting a freelance business with my husband in web design serving small businesses in Sonoma County.

Skills: My skills include web design, html, Illustrator, PageMaker, ImageReady, and Photoshop.

Courses: I have a MA in Educational Psychology from the University of Georgia, 1970. For the past three years, I have been taking classes in the Website Design Program including html, Designing Graphics for the Web, Intoduction and Intermediate Photoshop, Illustrator, PageMaker, Image ready, Fractile painter,Business of Web Design, Principles of Screen Design, and Typography.

Project Role: Project Manager/ Graphic Designer. For my responsibilities as a project manager, I scheduled and coordinated the client/team meetings, and kept the team organized on task. I also organized the project proposal and wrote the budget and overview including the goals and target market. As a team graphic designer, I designed the animation splash page and the opening screen including the collage.

What I learned from the project: I learned the importance of the management role in web production. I learned the need for planning and testing periods in web production and the great amount of time and effort that goes into the production of a team site. Most of all, I learned that I enjoy the project management role and working with a team. I also gained confidence as a designer and enjoyed pleasing the client.

Project Role: Production Site Designer/Manager; I also assisted in with content development on the client site.

What I learned from the project: The vital nature of communication between team members, the importance of front-end planning and development, and the benefits of flexibility.

Skills: My skills include: PageMaker, ImageReady, and Photoshop, web design, HTML, Illustrator.

Courses: I have a MS in Interpersonal Communications from the Southern Illinois University, 1972. In the past three years, I have been taking classes at SRJC in the web design program studying graphic design. I have taken Illustrator, PageMaker, Image ready, Fractile painter,Business of Web Design, Principles of Screen Design, beginning and advanced HTML, Designing Graphics for the Web, Intoduction and Intermediate Photoshop, and Typography.

Project Role: Project Manager/ Graphic Designer. I was a co-project manager and a designer for the site project, and assisted with the content development. My project management responsibilities were to write the project deliverables and contract for the proposal and coordinate the testing and uploading of the site. As a graphic designer, I created the second level page layout and graphics, and the type adjustments to the logo.

What I learned from the project: The importance of team work and of good preparation and planning.

Employment Objective: My objective is to get a job doing either web design or graphic design, or combo of the two.

Skills: Have worked in the medical field both in emergency and clinical setting giving me the ability to use common sense and good judgement in stressful high paced situations. I also know how to use PhotoShop very well , Illustrator, Painter, Image Ready, PageMaker, and am learning Dreamweaver and Flash. Oh yeah HTML.

Courses: SRJC certificate in PhotoShop, Illustrator, Painter, PageMaker, i will be taking classes in Dreamweaver, Image Ready, And an upgrade to PhotoShop 6. I am three classes away from my associates degree which i should get after next semester. I have also taken classes i grphics design and AutoCad, and hand drafting and landscape design.

Project Role: My role in the project was to do the content development. I also did the Logo for the site. Content development was a struggle for me, I will admit because it had been so long since I had done any HTML. But I re-learned and got it done.

What I learned from the project: I learned how to work with others to create something nice to look at and functional. i learned how much you rely on others and others rely on you to get thers jobs done and stay on schedule. Mostly I learned how to be a team mate and to let others help me if I needed it and to let things go for the good of the final product.
