Employment Objective: I currently use my web skills to maintain the websites of my part-time employer. I would like to eventually design websites from home - so I can spend more time with my children.

Skills: I have been using computers since 1986. I am advanced in a wide variety of programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, FrontPage, Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, PageMaker, Macromedia Dreamweaver & Fireworks. I have also used MANY MANY other programs. Currently, I work mostly in web design/graphics. I plan to go on to learn Javascript.

Courses: Towards the web design certificate - I have taken beginning and advanced HTML, beginning and intermediate PhotoShop, Computer Graphics concepts and Electronic Portfolio. For this class - I was in Business of Web Design.

Project Role: I was the project manager for this website. I coordinated all the other team members and worked with the client. I also did most of the "paperwork" associated with web site development.

What I learned from the project: This class taught me how to deal with things that do not go according to plan and to work with different personalities.

Employment Objective: To obtain a career in computer technology, expanding and implementing my knowledge base in web graphic design.

Skills: Designing websites for about one and a half years. Can hand code HTML, along with using WYSIWYG programs like Dreamweaver. I also have experience with graphic programs such as Photoshop, Image Ready, Illustrator, Painter, and Flash.

Courses: HTML- Beginning/Advanced website design, along with Beginning/Intermediate Photoshop. In addition, I have also completed Beginning/Advanced Web Graphic Design and Web Graphic Concepts. Other courses that further expanded my knowledge include Principle of Screen Design, Telecommunications, Illustrator and the Business of Web Design.

Project Role: As the Designer, I was in charge of the design aspects including the layout, graphics and the overall "feeling" of the website.

What I learned from the project: The most important skills that I learned from this project was team work and communication. Although it was tough at times, I found out that three heads were better than one.
