Linda McBee: lmcb@pixelines.net, 875-3177 Employment Objective: Employment with a Web Design Business (small is good--part time is good). I would like to work for a non-profit or some sort of business that is socially responsible. To freelance is my ultimate goal so any "extra work" that you are too busy for I would love to do for you. Maintaining sites, image production, that sort of thing. I currently maintain the Sonoma County Animal Shelter's site. Skills: Applications: * Quark Express * Photoshop * Image Ready * Illustrator * DreamWeaver * BBEdit Production: * Website Design * Color Correction * Brochures * Business cards * Book, Video, & CD covers * Posters I am very organized, dependable and careful. I have excellent communication skills. Courses: Bachelors Degree in Art Masters Degree in Art Education Web Design Certificate in June Photoshop Masters Certificate (all the courses required for the above listed and then some-too many to list here). Project Role: I was the Project Designer. This entailed meeting with the client to determine the perimeters for the look and feel of the site as well as navigational needs and the ultimate purpose of the site. From this, choice of colors, design layout ,fonts, etc.; creation of three sets of mock ups for first and second level pages; creation and manipulation of images; creation of roll overs; some content development, proofing and revisions. I created a template for the content developer to work with. I wrote the creative brief and also instructions for the maintainence of the site. The testing of the site with the client was my responsibility. What I learned from the project: I learned how wonderful it is to work with a group. To have a project manager to oversee that things are done in a timely way, to have a content developer to take charge of all the little details that us creative types have little patience for and to work with a programmer that can make thes creative (fanciful..?) ideas a reality in the world of pixels and electrons was a wonderful thing! The resources that Linda Hemenway made available were great. The production of a site from start to finish has been very rewarding.
