Project Role: Project Manager for Hospital Chaplaincy Services Site. I oversaw the team interactions, coordinated meetings, facilitated communications between team members as well as with client.

What I learned from the project: I've been a project manager in the IT realm for sometime but the experience of project managing an actual web site design from beginning to end was a new and fruitful experience. I learned some of the hurdles and rewards related to this unique business.

Employment Objective: Seeking a creative and challenging environment where I can utilize my skills, experience, and creative ability to contribute in designing and developing web sites and print media.

Skills: I have a diversified background in marketing, writing/editing, photojournalism, typesetting, graphic design, illustration, and print production. I am organized, efficient, and detail oriented. I am proficient in the following software programs: PhotoShop, ImageReady, Dreamweaver, BBEdit, Flash, QuarkXpress, PageMaker, Multi-Ad Creator, and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and SSI. Dual platform: Mac and PC.

Courses: I have completed all courses for the following Certificates: Adobe Applications Specialist Program, Dreamweaver Web Content Developer Program, HTML Web Content Developer Program, and Web Site Development Program. I have also taken several Applied Graphics and Art courses.

Project Role: As the Designer for Hospital Chaplaincy Services, I designed the mockups, created the look and feel of the web site, all the graphics for the splash page, home page, and second level pages. I also redesigned the HCS logo, scanned, optimized, and applied photo image techniques to all the photos for the site. I created the CSS, SSI, and the second level page template files.

What I learned from the project: Creating a site that meets the clients expectations and needs can be accomplished by spending a great deal of time listening and observing the client at meetings. Allowing extra time for the mockups aided in fewer changes or problems during production. Communication, commitment, flexibility, and always a sense of humor is key to a strong, productive teamwork environment.

Employment Objective: I am interested in a full time job with a web development company.

Skills: I have strong HTML skills and programming skills with JavaScript and ASP. I also have fair knowledge on C++, Basic and Pascal programming. Also have strong web content development skills with writing HTML from scratch as well as using HTML editors.

Courses: Will be completing Five Web Development Certificates from the JC, by completing the following classes: Beg.& Adv HTML, Intro to telecommunication, Beg.& Adv Dreamweaver, Beg. FrontPage, Beg. Adobe Golive, Beg.& Inter Photoshop, JavaScript, ASP, C++, Access, Business of Web Design.

Project Role: Programmer for Hospital Chaplaincy Services. Made an online application form and did error checking with JavaScript. Processed the form using formmail.cgi. Also did a free service online Forum for the client.

What I learned from the project: As a programmer, I have gained much experience dealing with JavaScript code and processing of online forms. I also have gained a lot of experience using nested tables to control the content of the site.

Employment Objective: To be employed as a website designer in a creative work environment.I would like to use my extensive experience as a professional photographer to specialise in web graphics.

Skills: I have in depth career experience as a photographer with 15 years as a freelance, have good people and client skills and enjoy working in team environment. I am skilled in Photoshop 6, Digital Photography, scanning, image correction and optimization and have developed an excellent eye for color and design. I love learning and learn quickly and am continually gaining proficiency in Photoshop, Imageready, Illustrator9, Dreamweaver4, HTML, Flash, Excel and Word.

Courses: Beg. & Adv. HTML; Beg. & Adv. Web Graphics; Beg.&Inter. Illustrator 9; Beg & Inter Photoshop; Beg Flash5; Intro to Telecommunications, Principles of screen design, Web Content Development.

Project Role: As content developer I combined the content (text and pictures) with the design (the page templates). I created the storyboard, production standards, and shell site. I also compiled the questionnaire for the classmate testing phase and worked out the kinks in the site.

What I learned from the project: I learned valuable lessons,working in scratch team with real deadlines and in many ways enjoyed working in a team as opposed to freelance, which I have found can be a little isolating. The decision had been made to use CSS and so I had no option but to go for it and learn and build the site with CSS, a real steep leaning curve, hard work but very rewarding in the end.

Employment Objective: Looking to change from my current job to a more rewarding Career in web development and programing in Java script.

Skills: New to this field. Most of my skills are in Word, MsAcess2000,Lotus 1-2-3, Excel. Accounting software peachtree, DacEasy. I have worked for Remote Data Solutions company doing list quese and entries on IBM 3179 VSE/ESA Main frames.

Courses: Html, Intermediate Html, MsAcess2000, Into to Telecommunications.

Project Role: I was one of the content developers for Hospital Chaplaincy Services.

What I learned from the project: I learned that creating a good site takes time, planning and a lot of constant communication especially if your working in teams. The most important part is to listen to your client needs and prepare for changes. This was a very good working experience for me especially when I'm use to working alone.
