HTML Certificate Project Role: I was the Project Manager for Heritage Homes of Petaluma.I was in charge of making and updating the Team Project Web Site http://www.partyvisions.com/heritage , keeping the team on track with production and staying in contact with the client over changes. What I learned from the project: I have learned that to work as a team, you must learn to work with different personalities and work habits. To communicate with team members on a regular basis and to learn from each other. This has been a very rewarding experience for myself.
Cynthia Tice: cynthiatice@email.msn.com, 707.939.9242 Employment Objective: To gain employment doing what I love most - web & graphic design. Skills: Organized, detailed, energetic, creative multi-tasker that is resourceful, outgoing and has a strong sense of humor - no matter what happens. I am also a quick learner and one that uses both sides of my brain. Courses: Bus. Web Design, Flash Intermediate, Flash Design, Photoshop, Imageready, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Homesite, HTML, Painter, Digital Photography, Director and multiple Art and Applied Graphic design courses. Project Role: Basically, I was responsible for creating the look and feel of the site. I designed mockups with color and font choices, created the graphics for the home and second level templates and optimized the photos for the collage on the home page. What I learned from the project: No matter how well you plan and plan and plan, something will ALWAYS go wrong. That a simple site usually means just the opposite. And most importantly, that it takes a team working together as a cohesive unit to move a design from paper to the computer to a live web site.
Heidi Jorgensen: hjorgensen@hjorgensen.com, 707-823-6338 Employment Objective: Web Production and Coding Specialist internship or entry level position contributing skills to production of dynamic sites and enhancing team. Skills: Programming/Scripting languages known are JavaScript, Active Server Pages, Perl, HTML and Java. Database systems worked with are Access, SQL and VBA scripting. Have a B.A. in Mathematics and teaching experience. Have experience in supervision at a hi-tech company. Have good people skills and enjoy working in team environment. Courses: * Programming/Scripts: JavaScript, ASP (with VBScript), Perl/CGI, Java, HTML, C++ * Applications/Database: Microsoft Access with VBA, SQL, Adobe Photoshop * Operating Systems: Unix, (Windows 98 & DOS -- OTJT) * Other: Business of Web Design, Telecommunications, Electronic Portfolio Project Role: As programmer for two sites, I developed a Perl Script for error checking and confirmation of a form and three small JavaScript codes. Other tasks included research for client programming needs, creation of the technical brief, testing sites in multiple usage environments and developing sections of the client manual. What I learned from the project: I gained an enormous amount of knowledge about the intricacies of the Internet. I obtained a working knowledge of the main programming languages on the Web. I am able to produce web pages! I understand why web sites are so expensive. I discovered the importance of communication between team members.
Michael Soden: msoden5@attbi.com, 707-769-1237 Employment Objective: My employment objective is to start my own freelance marketing and Web design business in the first quarter of 2002. Skills: 1. 28 years experience in sales, marketing, and operational management. 2. Web site design and development 3. Information systems specialist with expertise in several software applications for business-to-business implementation 4. Business Analysis and Business Continuation Planning Staff Development/Supervision 5.Experienced procurement professional in contract negotiation with Fortune 500 companies, vendor management, and product/services out-sourcing Courses: By the end of December, I will have completed the requirements for Mastery Certification in HTML, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop. I have also completed several web design classes, a telecommunication class and an e- folio class that will allow me to certify as a career graphic web designer in May, 2002. Project Role: As one of the content developers, it was my job to create the storyboard, deliverables, a shell site, several pages of the actual web site, and help work out the coding kinks that came up during the creation process. It was also my responsibility to oversee site testing. What I learned from the project: This site was a challenge. It allowed me to learn more Java script, how to create a persistent rollovers, some new techniques when slicing images, and how to use transparent gif images as rollover buttons. And of course how to work with four other people that you barely know.

Web page mechanic's an avocation. Skills: HTML, JavaScript, Dreamweaver, Perl, Photoshop/Imageready, and Access2000 skills I,ve acquired at SRJC plus a lifetime of programming provide a good base for Web site content development. Courses: CIS 58.51A&B - Creating Web Pages w/HTML, CIS 73.31A&B - Intro & Intermediate Adobe Photoshop, BOT 73.14A - Access2000, CIS 54.13 -JavaScript, CIS 78.11 - Telecommunications, CIS 83.17 Imageready, CIS 84.54A - Dreamweaver, CIS 58.53A - Designing Graphics for Web pages, CIS 58.54 - Web Content Development, CIS 54.31 - Perl Project Role: I provided the HTML & JavaScript code for the overall structure and common navigation for every Web page in the site. What I learned from the project: Creating Web pages is both challenging and rewarding, albeit very time consuming. Working with a group presents its own set of challenges.
