What I learned from the project: Communication is essential when working as a team. Basic social skills are helpful i.e.common courtesy. As a team member the more flexible one is the more work gets done. I found my self mediating for others as well as having to assume other's responsibilities to insure that the work actually got done. I also think it important to acknowledge one's mistakes or shortcomings and be receptive to feedback.

Andrew Ferris: NeoJadeite@aol.com, (707) 793-9401

Employment Objective: I hope to become employeed in the area of web graphics and webpage design and creation, either in the employeement of a specific company or an indepedant firm.

Skills: I am highly adaptive and can use any program from Photoshop to Illistrator to Pagemaker to Painter to do my work. I am extremely creative and love a good challange. When it comes to someone who can think on their toes and go outside the box, I am your man.

Courses: I am currently enrolled in Intermediate Photoshop, but have been introduced to almost all of the most commonly used graphics programs through Computer Graphic Concepts. I have taken classes involving scanning and printing, as well as being able to make webpages in both html and Microsoft Word, however on this project I've learned quite a bit about Dreamweaver. I have also taken a course on Screen Design, so I've a measure of certifiable design knowledge.

Project Role: My role in this project was as a content developer. From the very beginning my whole concern on this side was what the site would say and how it would say it. A task in which, I am confident to say that I excelled.

What I learned from the project: I've found that different types of people with the same background and same training can go completely opposite directions when faced with a problem. I've also found that my own work often very much reflective of the energy around me. The more enthusiastic, diligent and hard-working those around me are, the more I become so. The reverse is true too.

Project Role: My Project Role in our team was the "Content Developer." My responsibilities included developing the HTML content, coordination of user testing, and various tasks done as needed.

What I learned from the project: I learned the ins and outs of planning a web project in a "real world" type of environment, much more than I had anticipated. Brushed-up on my people skills. Would have to say that communication is the major obstacle you encounter working in a group. Also, enjoyed the exchange of hats, when needed, the motto "just do it" came often. And a BIG THANKS to Mary, I'm not so sure that I wouldn't have lost it, if not for her.
