SRJC Web Development Program Final Presentations Spring 2000
Yvone Whang: nwhang@pon.net, 707.545.5178 Employment Objective: Find a job in the graphic design field. Skills: I am proficient in all the Adobe products (Photoshop, Illustrator, Pagemaker and Pagemill). I'm also knowledgeable in Quark and Freehand. In addition, I can write HTML and some Javascript. Courses: I have a Graphic Design Certificate, along with a BA in Communication. I've also taken HTML and Javascript, along with some web graphics classes. Project Role: Graphic Designer What I learned from the project: Working with other people can be both rewarding and difficult at the same time.
Mark Jones: mj@napaaikido.com, 707-257-6639 Employment Objective: Web development and project management along with business development. Skills: Most graphic applications, html, html editors, page layout, project development, sales, marketing, business development, some Perl, hardware and software development. Courses: All web courses, Pagemaker, Illustrator, Adv. Photoshop, Painter, Director, Applied Graphics, Basic, Perl, Access, Window 98 Project Role: Served a dual role as Project Manager and Programer. Supervised the team in the development of the Web SIG site and built the forms along with the Perl/CGI scripts to run them. What I learned from the project: The vast majority of what I learned had to do with writing the Perl scripts along with becoming better at debugging. Many small details were learned over the course of the semester being in contact with many web professionals due to the nature of the project.

William Hackett: Is cycling in Europe until August--unplugged, :-D Employment Objective: Aggressive pursuit of Web development opportunity postponed until completion of certificate or degree program(s). Skills: Computer-aided graphic design; Web site development, design, structure and marketing. Courses: Computer Graphics, Illustrator, Photoshop, Web Design, Web Graphics. Project Role: Assisted two teams with various tasks including content development, marketing and project management. What I learned from the project: New skills and a fresh prospective that will assist with future projects. A confirmation of the importance of good leadership.
