Carolyn Svenson: svengrove@aol.com, no phone Employment Objective:I am interested in pursuing a career involving: designing cutting edge web sites, intranet sites, multimedia presentations or creating graphic illustrations. Skills: I have an Associate of Arts Degree from the SRJC, a Professional Designation degree from The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, will have completed my certification in Web Design by the completion of Summer 2001, I am certified in Adobe Photoshop, have three years of industry experience in the field of Design and possess advanced skills using both PC and Mac platforms. Courses: Advanced HTML, Advanced Web Graphic Design, Screen Design, Flash 5.0 , Director 8.0, Advanced Photoshop 6.0 A/B/C , Illustrator 9.0 A/B, ImageReady 3.0, and Quark Xpress 4.0. Other Colleges and Industry Experience: Color Theory, Graphic Design and Illustration, Photography, Marketing, Merchandising, and Business Administration. Project Role: Designer and Project Manager. As Designer: I created the look and feel of the site, personally photographed or created a large portion of the images, devised the site map, created the navigation rollovers and worked with JavaScript to create bookmark links and łopen new browser window˛ actions, devised the look and placement of the content, and the opening page collage. When the site was completed I created a survey for user testing, comprising of 37 questions, to discover if we designed a successful site that was visually attractive, easy to navigate, well organized, and user friendly. As Project Manager: I managed the web site team, created and presented the website proposal to the client, created the list of website deliverables, presented the contract, and calculated a bid for how much we would have charged if BEA was a billable client. What I learned from the project: Choosing to strive above yourself, to push yourself to learn more advanced complex skills, challenges your will, tests your smarts, teaches you the importance of clear communication and team balance, and clarifies that if you do not want to kill yourself in the process, that you must be willing to ask for others help, research information you do not already possess, aim to please the client and work your butt off to achieve personal goals. David Jaret: djaret1@home.com, 707-263-7807 Employment Objective: To obtain employment in an entry level position as a content developer. Skills: I have experience in mirosoft access, and excel. I'm efficient in all areas of html; style sheets, forms, server includes etc. I type 50 wpm. Project Role: I was responsible for all the text content of our text heavy site, and creating a mirror text site. What I learned from the project: I learned from this project how important it is to make sure with your client up front what the content is going to be. Once this is decided it is just as important to make sure the client gets you all the content in a reasonable amount of time to allow you to finish your website.
