Skills: HTML, Dreamweaver 3.0, Flash 5.0, PhotoShop 6.0, Illustrator 9.0, Image Ready 2.0, CSS, BBEDIT, Microsoft Word, Excel 98, and Outlook. knowledge of cross browser differences, scanner/printer operations, Mac and PC proficient. Team player, self-starter, professional, organized, multi-tasker, calm under pressure, quick study, creative, outgoing and flexible. Courses: design and typography, computer media fundamentals, visual design, html, advanced html, photoshop, advanced photoshop, illustrator, flash, advanced flash, javascript, dreamweaver, Project Role: project manager What I learned from the project: The thing I learned most is how I communicate in a group. I really enjoyed the process of putting together the web proposal, this and organizing the project was the most educational for me. As with any first time project, I have many ideas on how to do it differently or more effectively next time.

River Mortenson: formorts@sonic.net, 707-874-2824 Employment Objective: I am interested in finding an employment with a firm in Sonoma County that would be interested in my web design abilities. Skills: I have been working with graphics programs for the last dozen years or more. I've worked with Pagemaker, Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand and Quark as well as scanning programs and whatever is needed to keep Macs functioning. I now have knowledge of HTML, Flash and ImageReady. Courses: Recently I've taken the HTML courses at the JC as well as Telecommunications, Photoshop 5.5, Illustrator 9, Web Graphics, Electronic Portfolio, Business of Web Design, Principles of Screen Design, Art 54 (Online Art) and Art 18.2 Computer Graphics 2, and Flash. Project Role: I was the designer for the project and responsible for creating the design for the site as well as dealing with all the photos, drawing and any other graphics associated with the production of the site. What I learned from the project: I learned how even with a group of very cooperative people you can still have problems. I expected the site to be a lot of hard work and it was. What I learned was that there were always people willing to help out when you needed them. Communication was the key.
Denise Getz: djgetz@adidam.org, 707-928-4139 Employment Objective: I am working toward a career change from goldsmith to web designer and/or project management. Skills: I have 11 years experience in running a small business in all of its aspects from design and production of product to bookkeeping and marketing. I have skills in HTML coding, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and office skills in Microsoft Word and Quickbooks. I have the capacity to wear many "hats" and am hardworking and detail oriented. Courses: I have taken many undergraduate courses in various aspects of fine arts including drawing, painting, ceramics, goldsmithing, etc. I am currently working toward the Web Design certificate, and have taken Beginning and Intermediate Photoshop, Beginning and Intermediate Illustrator, Flash, Web Graphic Design, Beginning and Advanced HTML, and Web Content Development. Project Role: I was one of three content developers for this site. I created the storyboard, and worked to incorporate the client content into our designer's template. What I learned from the project: This project was valuable to sharpen my HTML skills, but most especially to value and appreciate working in a team environment. Our "environment" was primarily email, but this worked well due to the diligence of everyone involved. Also, the necessity of an intensive planning phase for any project seems obvious now. Also, we had a wonderful client, and I hope that my future work experiences will be this fruitful.

Project Role: My role on the team was Content Developer and Marketer. What I learned from the project: What I learned from the project: I learned the importance of having well prepared and planned production standards and storyboards. Many problems and delays can result without it. I also learned how important effective communications with the client and team members is.
