Dawn Messer: imamess@earthlink.net, 707-824-6968 Employment Objective: I would like to start off in a business where I am part of the designing web graphics team. Then in a couple of years or so I would like to banch off on my own and have start a web design business. Skills: My skills include the following: I have an Associates Degree in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Phoeinx, I have a certificate in Photoshop 6, I am fluent in Dreamweaver, I know a little Illustrator and Quark Xpress. I prefer to work on a MAC but I can use a PC. Courses: Besides what I took at the Art Institute of Phoenix, I have also taken these classes at the SRJC; Photoshop A, B, and C Web Design HTML Dreamweaver A and B Web Content Development Project Role: I am the Project Manager of the SRJC Child Development. What I learned from the project: What I have learned is that I cannot wait to be the designer because I am not quit cut out to be a project manager just yet. I can appreciate the long process it takes to design a site. If I could change anything I would have been more in touch with my group.

Comfortable in positions of responsibility and in a team environment. Comfortable working under deadlines and self-motivated. Courses: HTML: A & B. Computer Graphics Concepts. Graphics with Illustrator. Painter 6. Web Graphics: Beg. & Advanced. Principles of Screen Design. Photoshop 6: Beg., Inter. & Advanced. Dreamweaver 4: Beg. & Inter. Web Development Practicum. Completing Web Master certificate Program(Designer). Project Role: Designer: Created Mock ups, converted the mock ups to templates and created pages for content developer. Created original images, navigation, rollovers, javascript and photo retouch. Created opening splash screen and responsible for setting up training sessions with client using Dreamweaver4 for site maintenance. Contributed documents for web proposal. What I learned from the project: Working as a corporate chef for 12 years I've learned that working with clients in this industry is the same. And as a designer it's a never ending learning process in creating a balance between the imagination, software inovations, browser compatability, different platforms and good screen design principals. I love it.
Ted Wolff: marlayne@pacbell.net, (707)573-9039 Employment Objective: I would like to continue as a freelance website developer and contract as a web programmer. Skills: My strongest web skills are in HTML, Perl, and Javascript. I have also worked with SQL, PHP, and I understand the fundamentals of database design. I have worked with Photoshop for about 6 months, and although I am not a designer, I can create acceptable web graphics. Courses: HTML beg and advanced, Intro to Telecom, Electronic Portfolio, Perl/CGI, Web Content Dev. Project Role: I was the programmer for our project. I used Javascript and Perl to create 2 updatable displays, a point and click photo tour of the CDC facility, and an online fill-out form that can be emailed to the CDC staff. What I learned from the project: I've learned how important it is to have as broad a skill base as possible. Programmers need to know Photoshop, designers need to know Javascript, Project Managers need to know HTML, and everyone needs to understand the principles of layout and design.

Skills: I have taught computer hardware and software for more than 15 years. I am fluent with Photoshop, HTML, Dreamweaver, and most computer operating systems. I am continuing to educate myself in Flash, JavaScript, and C++. I am also a photographer and a musician. Courses: Beginning and Advanced HTML, Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Photoshop, Creating Web Graphics, Beginning Illustrator, Intro to Graphics Design (too many to list :-) Project Role: Content Developer for the Santa Rosa JC Child Development Center. My primary role was to gather/organize/correct all the content given to me by our client. I also created the rough web template and inserted all the content into a template created by the designer. My secondary roles included testing, report writing, attending class ... What I learned from the project: Working as a team is challenging if the team members are not all on the same sheet of music. Truly, it is a dance. I have learned that I do love what I do in this field and will continue. Thanks Linda! |
