dawna foreman: dawna@subtlefx.com, 526-1384 Employment Objective: To join my husband in his work as an established web designer in our company: SubtleFx.com. In truth: to remain gainfully self-employed, enjoying the freedom to schedule our own work time...and to spend as much time at play as possible! Skills: Beginner at Dreamweaver Advanced Beginner with Project Management Intermediate: Content Developer and Text Writer Courses: Dreamweaver Parts A and B, which wil be completed in a few weeks Web Content Development Project Role: project manager: while roland likes to call me 'the boss', i was more open to my role as a 'point person': the one who knew what was percolating with the designer, the designer and client's ideas as a very compatible working relationship, (which i honored and found it wise to be informed and not always hands-on involved) and keeping mindful of the timelines on the way through the project. What I learned from the project: until this project, i had not managed a web team in site production...i had not, in fact been involved in this manner with in any web project start to finish. as a professional chef, managing kitchen crews of up to 20 over a 7 days project (yes, 3 squares a day!)...i had a universal skill set known to many as 'creative process', which helped me to remain level and to seek end results in a new creative arena. our greatest challenge was during production...keeping our communications going, so important information about subtle changes would not cause anyone double effort.

Created DHTML rollover menus, JavaScript slide show; completed testing with the client. Insured that the site would work in Netscape or IE, 2 versions back and was cross/platform compatible. What I learned from the project: As a designer you are required to put your ideas out for the world to critique. Which is why a designer needs to have pretty thick skin. The programming and content development side is also a challenge to take the designers ideas and be able to make it work in many different image vehicles. This experience taught me how to create navigational fly-outs and pop-up image galleries. All in all this was a good learning experience.
