Jeff Minard: jeff@thecodepro.com, 707-523-4914

Employment Objective: I would like to join a progressive Internet company where my skills as a web designer, programmer and content developer can be applied.

Skills: Adv. HTML, Adv. Photoshop, Adv. Dreamweaver, Adv. PHP, CGI, MySQL, JavaScript, Illustrator, PageMaker, Web Design Concepts & Practice, Project Management, Macintosh Expert, Advanced PC (windows) experience, UNIX Proficient

Courses: I have completed over 40 units of computer courses at the SRJC and attained the Web Development Career Certificate in Web Design.

Project Role: I served as project manager. In this role I was responsible for pulling all the pieces together and making sure the project was on task and moving along. I was the main client contact and would have facilitated any group conflicts (but there were none, yay!) I also served as programmer for the group doing the limited programming needed for the site (a calendar and email script.)

What I learned from the project: When I first started doing web design, I was asked to become a project manager and be responsible for managing another web designer. I was terrified - but after this class I feel that I am ready to begin that sort of work. I would like some additional training, but I look forward to the day when I will be running a web development team, or even my own company.

Project Role: I worked ass the designer for this project using Photoshop and Dreamweaver to create the site.

What I learned from the project: I gained a lot of practice working with nested tables with this project. Working as a team helped me with my communication skills and gave me ideas and inspiration for the design.

Marcy McNeil: m4m@att.net, (707) 535-0925

Employment Objective: To provide web design and writing services on a freelance basis and to secure part-time job for credit toward certificate.

Skills: Page layout and graphic design for both print and Web, plus marketing experience.

Courses: Advanced Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, HTML, GoLive, Access, SQL, Visual Basic, Designing Graphics for the Web, telecommunications, Web Content Practicum. Self-taught Dreamweaver. Continual seminars to remain current with the latest concepts.

Project Role: As the Content Developer for the Routes for Youth Website, I constructed the pages using Dreamweaver. I also collected all of the text and photos the client wanted to include. I formatted and proofread the text, and optimized the photos to ensure the fastest possible download time.

What I learned from the project: This project enhanced my ability to work as a team player. Securing and maintaining a client contract involves a great deal of administrative paperwork. Project management is highly detail oriented though it is work done behind- the-scene. More work goes into developing a web site than one may realize.
