SRJC Web Development Program
Andrew Ferris: NeoJadeite@aol.com, (707) 793-9401 Employment Objective: To become employeed in a company where I design and create dynamic websites that market products to customers. Skills: I know Photoshop well and quite a bit about Dreamweaver, giving me the abilities to create beautiful and powerful websites. I know html well, so I can troubleshoot problems with webpages even from the code. I have experience creating a few websites, ranging from nonprofit organizations to gaming. Courses: I have taken Photoshop A, B and C where I learned Photoshop in and out. I have taken Dreamweaver A and B, so I have quite a bit of experience with that program as well. I have taken Principles of Screen Design and Computer Graphic Concepts which has given me some knowledge as far as design and the various other computer graphic programs are concerned. I have taken both Computer Graphics A and Web Portfolio, where I have designed webpages in Photoshop and then turned them into working pieces of art in Dreamweaver. Project Role: In this team I played the role of the Project Manager, I was in charge of communication. Because we were lacking a person I also took on various other jobs beyond that scope to ensure that the project would be completed on time. What I learned from the project: It is important to understand where members of a team are coming from and what they are capable of. Estimating their resources and knowledge bases often leads one to places they do not wish to go and causes troubles down the line. Always make sure the people you are capable of what you want them to do and are not capable of what you think they cannot before you assume otherwise. Not asking hurts more than asking.
