Catalog and organize information according to project reqirement as well as our class requirements. Test our site with tyoical users, report and take any valuable findings and pass them on with recomendations. I was also required to create a project site where the team and client could obtain current information regarding the web site development progress. What I learned from the project: I learned that people often skim information thereby missing important details. When presenting information it should be a clear as possible. There should be built in accountability to insure quality control. A project manager in a education setting has very little control over a project especially when the client is recieving a free site. The contract was too vague to be legally binding and no one would persue any action in this setting, due to missed deadlines, etc. A lesson in patience and appreciation for having a talented motivated team made the experience enjoyable.

What I learned from the project: I feel I already had some experience working in a team environment; every experience reinforces the importance of communication skills. I really learned a tremendous amount about the entire process of developing a website - planning, organization, staging, client communication, how to administrate and bid a job. Although I had learned many of the design/technology skills required to design a site in previous classes, applying those skills to a 'real' situation enhanced and developed those skills immeasurably.
