For a sample of my portfolio, please visit my web site http://www.lakewebdesign.com. I have a small consulting business that specializes in the Equestrian Industry. This year I have been invited to be the Photographer for most of the Dressage Shows in Sonoma County, including the Gala Event "Dressage in the Wine Country". My artistic eye captures and transfers into my design, my marketing/sales experience creates consistent themes. Courses: I have taken all the required classes in Web Graphic Design & Multimedia: HTML,Photoshop,Illustrator,Web Graphics,Digital Photography,Flash,Post Video Production,Screen Design, Art Foundation, Color, Telecommunications. In addition, I added the following: InDesign, Abobe Acrobat, Dreamweaver, GoLive, and Desktop Publishing. Project Role: I was Project Manager for this team which required cordinating and assigning job duties, timelines, and resolving problems that developed. This was the second time working within a team, this one was superb!I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to work with a great design team. like this one. Thank you Angela,Karen,Shannon. What I learned from the project: I learned that clear direction is always best. My style in the past has been let people decide what they want to do and allow it to happen. It is better to give clear assignments/duties in the beginning and then allow it to happen. This was a great group & client and still there were problems that arose. Because our roles were clear, and we were clear about who was responsible for what, things went very smoothly. I was surprised that Project Manager was so easy for me, but once I made the leap in my management style it was fun. Thank you team for making it happen. Angela Rodriguez: aluv7840@sbcglobal.net, 707-569-1667 Employment Objective: A position utilizing all aspects of my education and life skills based around graphic design, computers and art. Skills: An array of artistic values in multimedia design including; drawing with a variety of mediums, wax and bronze and wood sculpture, also photography and digital imaging with editing skills. Computer knowledge in design, editing, and architectural programs. Communication and time management skills. Positive outgoing attitude, work well on a team. Programs; photoshop, illustrator, digital imaging, flash, autoCAD, word, excel, outlook, and powerpoint. I have also indulged in design and art courses. Project Role: I was the designer for the SRJC Consumer and Family Studies Department site. I designed a few mock-ups around the clients wants and requests, built templates and sliced them into pages, which I made in dreamweaver. I was a part of a five person team, including the client. What I learned from the project: I learned more about communication, only my second time working on such a team. Patience is good but the tone of your words via message, email, letter, and most importantly in person has such an effect on the teams relationship. Prioritizing was a newly learned and used skill. Karen Hackett: karenett21@msn.com, 539-9420 Employment Objective: My objective for a future job is to work for a web and/or graphic agency. I'm very efficient using Photoshop and hope to be using it with any jobs I'll work for. Skills: Have a Photoshop certification and can design a web site using dreamweaver and HTML. Use illustrator for school and girlscout newsletters, restore images for clients, taught children in religion education, was a Girl Scout leader for many years, was children homecare provider, and usage of a digital camera. Courses: I have Taken most all the Photoshop classes, Illustrator A & B, Web Content Development, Html, Dreamweaver, Excel, Art and Design Project Role: I was a content developer, and it was neat not to worry about having to create the design and sad not able to create it at the same time. But this did give me a change to learn to use dreamweaver and html without imvoling the design assets. This strenghten my skills in the use html codes. What I learned from the project: I learn what it takes to plan and develope a web site. It was neat to watch and learn the planning that occurs with the Product Manager, Designer, and client. Shannon Taylor: staylor@sonic.net, 538-3725 Employment Objective: Web Development or/and Graphic Designer Skills: I have skills in computer graphics, desktop publishing, and business marketing. Courses: Illustrator, Photoshop, HTML, Web Graphics, Telecommunications, Dreamweaver, Typography, and Basic Design Principles Project Role: I was a Content Developer for the Consumer & Family Studies, SRJC website. So I placed the content into the template that the Designer created. What I learned from the project: I thought my part as Content Developer was very easy actually. But I really learned a lot about the overall process of website production. It was neat to see how to put together a contract and work with a client and team. It was a great experience!
