What I learned from the project: Preparation is key to a successful project. Communication is also essential between the team and the client, and within the team. A client who is not afraid to tell you what they want is the best client you can have. There are several skilled computer experts in the area, and it helps to network with these people, in attempt to brainstrom on projects and trade skills. What I learned from the project: I learned to work as a member of a team. I learned from my teammates. We had a small team we worked great together. I learned that I should prepare better before I could start to do a job. Skills: HTML Certified with XHTML experience, Java Programming, Dreamweaver, and Javascript certificates pending. Fluent in Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash with actionscripting. Courses: Telecommunications 1&2, Dreamweaver A&B, Flash intro & actionscripting, Access, Unix, Photoshop intro, intermediate, & advanced, web content development, web portfolio, html 1&2, Java, C++ Project Role: I was the content developer for the Kenwood Pillow Fights web site. I took our designers templates and built the site and utilized my programming skills to build a perl cgi interface for the online forms. I also helped my teamates to develope skills in programs they didn't have prior experience in, mainly Dreamweaver. What I learned from the project: I learned how interact well with a team while performing a specific job to build a website for a client. I also learned how to keep myself from trying to do more than I was required to for my specific job.
