Designer William Kazakoff

Alan Silverman: silverman@ncal.verio.com (707)579-8443

Skills: HTML (strong), PERL/CGI (minor), Unix (strong)

Courses: Business of Website Design, PERL

Project Role: As the programmer & project manager it was my responsibility to coordinate the efforts of the Graphic Designer, Photographer, & Coder (myself) with those of the client, who was responsible for site content.

What I learned from the project: The important lesson to be learned was the essence of teamwork. Each member of our group brought special skills that helped us create this website. The creation of a good website requires more skills than an individual should be expected to have. Teamwork is paramount to delivering the goods. Participation of the client is very important. The client is a contributor, provided the client knows 3 things: 1: What the client wants. 2: What technology and budget can deliver. 3: What the result is, in the middle of the first two, that the client is willing to accept.

Terry Hammon: thammon@pacbell.net

Skills: HTML, GifBuilder, GraphicConverter, Photoshop, Photography, including printing & digitizing.

Courses: Adv. photography, Intor Mac and PC, Doing Business on the Internet, DOS, Intro. Photoshop, Digital Photography, HTML, Web Graphics, Business of WebSite Production

Project Role: I wrote the contract, reviewed same with client, shot & scanned photographs, gathered links, wrote HTML, formed questionnaire for testing, collated responses, tested for disabled

What I learned from the project: Communication is the tie that binds. Daily contact should be made with every team member, and twice a week with the client. If this fails to happen, the process of site construction is in peril.
