Project Role: My role in this project was that of cgi programmer, also I did the html for the forms and some javascript functions in order to make the forms interface a little more policelike but friendly.

What I learned from the project: I got a lot of practice at writing data base management tools and search engine sub routines in perl. My techniques for debugging cgi (and using vi) really improved. I also learned about using javascript with forms as well working in a group and interfacing with the client.
