Set up your homework page consistent with the homework example page.

Label each image with optimization settings and size of image (e.g. 35 k) and double check that your optimization settings match the requirements:

• Photo saved as 4 types of JPEG: Maximum, High, Medium, Low
• Photo saved as 4 types of GIF: Adaptive 256 colors, Selective 256 colors, Web, Adaptive 16 colors
• Clip Art saved as 4 types of JPEG: Maximum, High, Medium, Low
• Clip Art saved as 4 types of GIF: Adaptive 256 colors, Selective 256 colors, Web, Adaptive 16 colors

Choose appropriate images for a photo and clip art examples

• Make sure you don't choose a photo with large flat areas of color like an illustration

• Make sure your clip art example does not have continuous tones like a photograph

Save one example of Clip Art as a tranparent image

• Transparent image needs to be non-rectangular, with some curved or diagonal areas defining the outside edge.
• EXTRA CREDIT: Choose a matte color to match background color when opimizing as transparent
• Place transparent image on a colored (non-white) background or cell

Check your uploaded pages in a browser to make sure there are no broken images and the page can be found online

Photo images should be no larger than 200 pixels by 200 pixels

Clip Art images should be no larger than 150 by 150 pixels
