I adjusted font size on menu bar to make sure the menu didn't scroll on any & all screen resolutions. I added a watercolor page and images and reformatted some other images. All navigation has been cleaned up to reflect what's really on the site. Unfortunately I started having problems with my images not showing up again. Earlier today I had a problem with one image. I tried to reload, etc. and pretty soon had a problem with all watercolors and show page images. This is making me feel kind of crazy!

I have all the pages up. Got sidetracked reducing the height of the footer and trying to get a uniform page length (if/when the page is not longer than the screen) which looks great in Firefox but IE doesn't render the same way--at least the page is longer in IE or else I'd have to change them all again--whew!

I added content for the pages for Buddy, My Garden and Kitty Links. All the links work. I had to eliminate the code "target=_blank" from all my linked images, otherwise the pages did not validate. I guess I have more to learn in that area. This was very fun. I had no idea I would like so much. The last time I tried my hand at this was over four years ago and so much has changed since then. I still need to work on getting the Kitty Links page to validate. It's the last page I made and I simply ran out of time to work out the kinks and get that lovely green strip that says, "This Page Is Valid XHTML 1.0 Strict!"! I hope you enjoy my silly kitty site.

I tried to modify the site according to the suggestions given by Linda Hemenway in my grade book. I changed the background image, the header and tried to place the top image in container div than sitename div.
as i don't have much content with me, i just tried to give links to the relavent information availabe from online.
I guess, all the links works now.

I modified complex.css and added pages for all second levels. They are not yet functional, as I have to purchase the items to sell and don't have a shopping cart actually set up yet. The little code present to support the search is also not valid...so, those form errors come up during validation.
I have a number of variations of the header graphic...can't decide if the one I have up as the main index looks too wierd...
that's it...i love this class!

There is the moment when one agrees or dis-agrees with one's distractors. **
This is one of those moments - Thank you for your inputs. **
Early on, I made sure the links were functional OR they did not appear. I added pages/content as needed to flesh out the site. After all, this is a template we are working with. **
At some point one feels the need to say phyie to the cridiques and forge forward with the intent of one's design. This is one of those moments for me. Say what you will. It is my design - take it or leave it.
This has been a GREAT learning experience. It has tested my understanding of CSS, HTML, and color.

This is going to be it for this version of my plaything. I had already flushed out the pages on the site several weeks ago so completing this assignment was easy. I did spend some time tweaking a bit here and there and converted the last two xmas letters to the template. It's done!

Assignment 6 - Finish:
There are 9 pages in all: 5 Major Pages - Home (links to My Garden, Raccoons, Kitchen Art) My India, Log Cabin, Pets, Photos (link to Lambtown USA under Album)
I used the complex template for Home, My India, Log Cabin and Pets. I used the photo template for photos. I used the alternate template for My Garden, Raccoons, and Kitchen Art.
The same link as in Assignment 5 will work here. If a problem, use www.masanat.net.
Colors: The colors were modified to be sure that they complemented each other (green and orange and various hues and tints of each). The alternate template was given a different scheme but it complements the major pages.
The prime consideration for the color scheme was the subject matter and the preference of the owner of the site. Needless to say that if I were to draft this site for myself, it would have various subdued tones of purples and pinks.
I tried to use the student server and spent 4 hours uploading files and when I checked it, it didn't look right, so I'm not sure what happened but I know it doesn't reflect my work.Send your comments to them at burmkat1@aol.com
