Click on home page. My home page looks fine on Safari and Firefox, but on IE 5.2, the content area slides way below the right and left columns. I noticed that mine is not the only 'medium template' site that does this. I've combed throught the html and css code, and can't find anything that will change this. Anyone have any ideas?

Sorry for the delay, I had already upload to the server this assignament a week ago, but i didnt submit the url, I was having trouble to submit the work, now i realised that i got confused between the username and password for the server and the one for the class. Thanks for the advice on my thumbnail page, i ll have it ready with the finish assignament.

I changed the paragraph font as verdana and the site name as Arial. i just want to show the difference between headings and normal text. i modified the paragraph text by adding line height upto 18pixels so that the text is more easy to read. i changed the navigation text colors and site head color with the use of style sheet. regards hima

I changed the color of the links, the main font to Verdana, and added letter-spacing to the right-side and the headings.

Fontilations ** Text is a funny thing. Browsers can interpret some fonts differently making a standard design look difficult without using an image for headers, etc. I choose to use Verdana over Georgia because it looks cleaner and bolder being a san seif font. ** In the Sitename DIV, I added line-height of 1.5 and bumped the font-size up to 2.5em. This gave the header breathing room to emphize the gold colored text. ** By using letter-spacing I was able to tighten up the H1 in the content DIV. The text on the index page was too long and this helped. ** Getting Around and Around ** The tabs needed to be updated with color from the new color scheme. I choose to sample from the content BG image to pickup the light green for the current page and a darker green for the other pages. Next, I adjusted the tab location to match it up with the top of the content area. Previously, I had changed the graypx.gif to a redpx.gif. Now, I doubled the height for a more pronounced accent. ** The left side navbar colors were changed to remove the lime green hover BG to a more harmonizing hue. I decided to leave the lime green border color as an accent. ** The final nav trick was to have the image links on the Venue page change on hover. ** Other Tuning Adjustments ** The tab location and color change was suggest in the cquitue of my site for which I agreed made sense. ** Removal of the firework burst and replacing it with some other star or background pattern posed a design problem for me. The real estate available in the Sitename DIV was not enough to do justice to the theme I had in mind. A logo graphic would work better, however, I felt that that was not the idea here. ** The overall BG gradient change helped warm up the site site nicely.

I altered the css file to add padding for the second column (Content), modified the text for the entire site (made it sans-serif font), altered line spacing as suggested in the lesson. I had already altered text color, borders, etc. prior to this lesson - this was done via the css file, complex.css.

I've changed the color, size, spacing, and/or font face for most all the text, and the button, content and image borders too.

Lots of changes last week and this. I've changed the site colors a bit and added changes to the text and nav system that are more incremental than dramatic. Basically, I followed Linda's text and nav changes with a few tweaks of my own. I've also tried to soften the site color changes from last week even though I did what I did more for the class than my tastes. Anyway, it's better and getting closer to finished.

I made changes to a new css file: medium3.css which is attached to a new page: color test page. I made color changes to a few tags: intro paragraph, current page horizontal nav, rightside h1; changed site title and subtitle as well as rightside h1 to oblique. Made the paragraph font slightly larger, all of the heads slightly larger too.

I changed heading colors, link colors, hover colors and nav bar colors. I intend to make some changes to font styles later. I added links to larger images from the pastel page and created those separate pages. I didn't tie them to the css file at this point since I had some problems with how the css file positions images. I had one image not show up again.

I created a table on the art filters page. I took out three of links, Squeeker, Color-Div, Homework, in an effort to condense my home page. I also revised and edited some of the copy. I played around with padding around images and with the size of text. I moved the credit for Andrea and navigation to his website to the bottom of the page.

On homework page there are links to index page and 2 main sub-pages. From the gallery page there are continue links to all 20 gallery pages. Homework page defines many of the changes to box and text properties. I have been adjusting these all along in CSS. All pages validate.

I changed the font family and used a couple of different font sizes and colors. I also change the colors in the navigation bar. I am still not sure I like the colors, this is definitely a work in progress!

If you look throught these pages. I changed the font family and added links to each page on the site. I had already changed the color of the text to my desired colors. I also used the text indent and the text align features in css to get my desired look. I did mess with margins on the right and left, but Im not sure if I like what I did there.
