Client Proposal Presentation Meeting - Business Web Design / Web Content

Let's take a look at how things are going.

Imelda Estrada from the 4 Paws Learning and Wellness group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Communication has been mostly by e-mails almost daily, also skype sessions and in person.

Meeting Accomplishments -
Web proposal went great. Client made a few comments, clarifications were established. Good session. No loose ends.

Client/Team Interactions:
Team interaction is pretty good with the client. no problems are foreseen.

Problems or Concerns:

Jeanene McCormack from the NAMI group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We have completed our contract with the client and obtained the sign offs. Our client is very happy. We are now in the process of finalizing details of photos to be used, etc. by email. We are in touch with the client every week.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The Web Proposal meeting went very well and the client totally understands what we plan to provide. No loose ends.

Client/Team Interactions:
We are interacting well with the client. No problems.

Problems or Concerns:

James Anderson from the Resurrection Roller Girls group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Almost all of the communication between the client and the team seems to be going through our Designer. From what I understand she has had a number of phone conversations and emails regarding design issues and content. So I am depending on the Designer to relay that information to me and the rest of the team.

Meeting Accomplishments -
We had a face to face meeting with the client in order to go over the proposal. It was a little difficult to keep them focused on what the proposal meeting was suppose to be about. Whenever the proposal came up they went off on new ideas for their site. I tried to explain the proposal the best I could and hopefully they were listening to what they had and what we were giving them. They did sign it.

Client/Team Interactions:
Again the interaction is a little disjointed. It's kind of an on going task to get up-to-date info on what's happening. Getting the final pieces of content seems to be an issue right now but I think we're working on it.

Problems or Concerns:

Kevin Schirado from the Petaluma Recycling group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
I coordinated the web proposal meeting by email. requesting a time best for Jane. Once I had this, I contacted our client and requested that he pick a date within the date range that worked best for Jane. Date and time selected was 3/22 at 2pm at the client site. Other communication with our client and the team has been by email. So far this is working well.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting went smoothly. I adjusted the date for the final delivery of content to 3/28 so that our client would have time to complete this task. i don't expect any trouble receiving the last content items.

Client/Team Interactions:
So Jane and I are working well with the client. There was some delay because he was sick for several days and we had to wait on a couple of decisions and some content items. This didn't impact us significantly.

Problems or Concerns:

Christopher Caplan from the Roller Derby group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We've had 2 face to face meetings with our client and frequent email communication.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting went very well. We just needed a little more content from them, but since then we've gotten that content.

Client/Team Interactions:
We've been interacting with the client just wonderfully.

Problems or Concerns:

Jenny Marin from the Face To face group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
The communication with the client is through meetings and by e-mail.

Meeting Accomplishments -
They ask for some changes and we are going to do that.

Client/Team Interactions:
It is great! Any problems at all.

Problems or Concerns:

Debra Gardber from the La Voz group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We have had three face to face and communication with email.

Meeting Accomplishments -
So so. We got her sign off. But I now have a lot of work to do. I have found a template that I think she will like for the front page. She did not like what I had created and wanted something else. I also have redesign three pages for her. Home Gallery will now be Photo Gallery and I will use spry tabbed to assist in creating a well organized page. t will be use for the PDF Gallery and the development of the events page. I still need to get her OK.

Client/Team Interactions:
I don't see any problems or concerns at this time.

Problems or Concerns:

Desmond McQuoid from the REFB group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Most of the communication between the team and client has been through emails. The communication has been daily as the project moves closer the design of the templates. We met with them again face to face last week to finalize getting the last changes to current content before signing the proposal.

Meeting Accomplishments -
As discussed with our Instructor, we needed to have a pre-proposal meeting with them last week to move them to a place we could finalize a proposal. Our team will meet with the client this Wed. 3/23 in the middle of Spring Break to sign off on the proposal.

Client/Team Interactions:
The amount of email traffic going backwards and forwards and across and back as we finalize the foundation to go forward has been dizzying. No problems so far, we can honestly say that everyone is in the loop 100%. This is a great group of hard working diligent people on both sides.

Imelda Guzman from the Redwood Empire Food bank group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Most of the communication between the team and client has been through emails. The communication has been daily as the project moves closer the design of the templates.

Meeting Accomplishments -
Our team will meet with the client this Wed. 3/23 to sign off on the proposal.

Client/Team Interactions:
Everyone has kept a good working relationship and works very hard at communicating to keep the project going.

Problems or Concerns:

Talisha Melluish from the Napa Valley Breastfeeding Coalition group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
I have had email and over the phone communication on occasion, not as much as I think would have been beneficial.

Meeting Accomplishments -
I believe we are doing our Web Proposal remotely due to distance and schedule conflicts, I will be unable to attend due to the distance I live from school and the client. The only loose ends I see are one change to the shell site and a final decisions on design.

Client/Team Interactions:
At first interaction was smooth but has become a little difficult because of time and distance constraints. I think this could be detrimental at this stage but we all (client included) seem to be pulling together to hammer out the kinks and get production running smoothly.

Problems or Concerns:

David Rivezzo from the St. Vincent's Elementary group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
My Team and I have had a few face to face meetings, but most communication has been done via email. We are in contact with the client at least on a weekly bases.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal was smooth sailing for the team and I. We were well prepared and the client was happy with the work completed to date. Yes, the client has a firm understanding to the details of the new site. No, production has already started.

Client/Team Interactions:
Group and and team interaction has been open and productive. No foreseeable problems so far.

Problems or Concerns:

Olga Komar from the Napa Valley Breastfeeding Coalition group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Face to face - once e-mails - often

Meeting Accomplishments -
We didn't have this meeting yet.

Client/Team Interactions:
It seems finally we are moving in the right direction.

Problems or Concerns:

Dian Ross from the Roller Derby group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We had a face to face meeting with the client last week to present them with the preposal. It went well and they signed the contract. I've had a few phone calls and e-mails with the client regarding a new logo and some issues with the content that was proficed

Meeting Accomplishments -
The proposal meeting was short and I hope they understood what they were getting. The read over the proposal and signed it. They didn't have many questions, but I think that's becasue things keep changing with this client.

Client/Team Interactions:
I think the group is working well with the client. The client is learning who does what and giving them deadlines and telling them who provides what has helped.

Problems or Concerns:

Micah Gemmell from the La Voz group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We have communicated mostly by email, and have seen the client a few times face to face.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal went as well as one could hope. Our Client signed off the design while asking us to change a few things, and so we seem to be set. It was hard with her changing her mind a few times.

Client/Team Interactions:
We are all interacting well, I wish there was some way to get the client on board with web standards... She seems to think of the web like she does a newspaper, so it's kind of hard to code a site in that mindset.

Problems or Concerns:

Christopher Berggren from the St. Vincent Elementary group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We have been communicating a little less lately, I did some photography for them on a volunteer basis so that I would have more photos for the site. Put up a slideshow gallery of some of them; http://www.customimagesonoma.com/stvincent

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting went fine. They understand fully what the web site includes. There always seems to be more content coming, as far as I am concerned we have what we need to put up the site. They can always add more when they finally get it together.

Client/Team Interactions:
It seems that everyone has been interacting fine with the client, no problems.

Problems or Concerns:

Jason Sanders from the Birth Psychology group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Commmunication over the last two weeks included a face to face and several emails. Our team got the proposal signed off, and we are doing our work now.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The Web Proposal meeting went well. Maureen signed off on everything. She has a good understanding of what the web site will include, and she has an active roll in making decisions as the process moves forward. There are still a few loose ends that need tied up, but we are working on that during production. We have some extra work that might go on top of what was proposed, but we have to see what the team is able to accomplish for the original work proposed first.

Client/Team Interactions:
I feel good about interaction with the client. Maureen is very pleased with our work. I don't see any major problems yet.

Problems or Concerns:

Emelina Minero from the La Voz group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We've had face to face meetings, have used email, skype, and phone. I'd say we communicate pretty frequently, at least once a week. Micah and I just sent her a follow up email today about the content suggestions that we brought up during our meeting this past Friday. And Cecilia sent her an email that Wednesday with all of the information from everyone for the Friday meeting.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The Web Proposal meeting went okay. We got the design okayed, with some notes added for a few things we needed to change. We changed how the photo galleries will work, and changed some of the content. But overall, we really didn't discuss the content, and Ani had only skimmed over the material we sent her relating to the content. So there are still a lot of loose ends that need to be addressed. That's why we sent her the follow up email today. We gave her a couple more days to look over everything, before we got her response about the content, and she knows that she still has things she needs to give to us by the 28th.

Client/Team Interactions:
As a group we're interacting well together. As a group, I think we're interacting with the client to the best of our abilities. We keep her in the loop, ask for her feedback, send her mock-ups, questions, proposals, etc. It's just seems like it has been hard to get her to finalize things promptly.

Problems or Concerns:

Jane Daniel from the Petaluma Recycling Center group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We met with client in person to present the proposal. This took about an hour to discuss everything thoroughly, have him sign and initial and then review a task list for the remaining content. The client is very pleasant to work with and has responded very quickly to our needs most of the time. Our normal weekly communication has been by email, with the client and team being copied on every correspondence.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting went smoothly. We clarified odds and ends along the way, like footer details, captions for photos and any late changes to the design. We reviewed the page layouts for the price page, recyclables page and gallery and discussed some options on these specialty pages to make sure what we were delivering would be acceptable. We reviewed the remaining bits of content to be delivered and the deadline, extending it slightly since the original was on the date we were meeting.

Client/Team Interactions:
The interaction with the client seems fine. Arthur is very agreeable and pleased with the proposal. He immediately delivered some of the content needed and I expect that he will follow through with all of it. I am concerned about the "search" option. I designed into the top navigation bar, but there isn't any content to attach to it. Then, I saw Linda's email today and found that our team was not alone. Our site could exist without it, but it is a change to the designs, again.

Problems or Concerns:

Zechariah Manning from the re Homes group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
I have not personally had any communication with the client as of late. I am gearing up towards the actual insertion of content into the web template. Our Designer has been in contact with the client in order to have final approval of her template design.

Meeting Accomplishments -
We have about 90% of the content right now. There are some videos that are in finalization by our IMD. There are also images taken by our IMD that have been delivered to me recently and will be implemented into the final project design.

Client/Team Interactions:
The only problem I foresee at the moment is meeting deadlines for template hand off and having enough time to feel out he finished template and complete the content insertion in time for the final hand off to the client. Hopefully there will be enough time for troubleshooting minor bugs and issues that also arise.

Problems or Concerns:

Megan Bennett-Burks from the Greenacres group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
I've had some email communication, but not much because I've mainly been focusing on tweaking the template still.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The client does understand what the website will include. He provided us with the content, and a list of what pages he needs, so that was all specified. He also picked out a template he likes so he has a good idea of what the template will be like when it's done. I wasn't able to attend the proposal meeting with the rest of my group because a team member and I weren't available on the same day. However they did report on the meeting, and it seemed to have gone well, and I also met with Linda a few times individually.

Client/Team Interactions:
The client is going to be gone for a week, but this hopefully won't hold things up too much. Aside from that I can't think of any particular problems.

Problems or Concerns:

Susan Brennan from the Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
At this point the entire team has communicated with our client by phone, email and personal meetings. We have been channeling our questions on content mostly through Sarah, our PM, and she is keeping track of edits, what is missing, needed, etc. We did this because there are 2 CD's here and several people there. This system saves a lot of confusion. We are also able to answer each others' questions before it disturbs the client unnecessarily.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting went well in addition to a follow-up meeting with PM in which a lot of trimming the site was accomplished. We have got most of the working site up. The client needs to go over this for edits, we will add images, finish up on links, get the forms installed, and fine-tune in coming weeks.

Client/Team Interactions:
No problems - we have it down a good working system.

Problems or Concerns:

Elizabeth DeVries from the St. Vincent's group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
I've communicated with the client, Stacy, in person three times, on the phone a couple times, and through e-mail. We communicate on a fairly regular basis, whenever we need to or something comes up.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The Web Proposal meeting went really well, our whole team was in attendance and we explained everything we were going to give them and asked them many questions and on both ends we pretty much have all loose ends tied up, and can continue working on the website. They loved it.

Client/Team Interactions:
The group is interacting with the client very well. We all have interacted with her for different reasons when we need to, and we all have a good time meeting with them in person. I don't see any problems arising at this stage of the class.

Problems or Concerns:

Sarah Fogarty from the Habitat for Humanity group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
This has been a busy couple of weeks. My DES and I (PM) met with the client and one member of her staff for the web proposal meeting. The IMD met with a member of the client's staff to go over her needs. We decided to keep things simple with the client and all content issues would go from my CDs to me to the client to whomever on her staff needed to deal with it. This worked out very well; good, constant email communication got us through all the editing/revisions necessary to get 100% of the content. On some days, there were 6-8 emails between the client and me, but as she was focused on clearing this off her desk, it was an appropriate and necessary amount.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The Web Proposal meeting was excellent; we covered a tremendous amount of ground in 2 1/2 hours. Though the entire team was unable to attend, I believe this actually worked to our advantage, as it was easier for the client to focus with just the two of us (the DES and me) there. My CDs had given me their questions and concerns in advance, the DES was able to handle her end plus the IMD issues and the programming is, at this point, easy to handle via email and poses no great concern. The client is very aware of the parameters of the end product as she has been actively involved in the editing and revising of the website structure and its content.

Client/Team Interactions:
Oh, what a great team. Everyone is extremely supportive of each other and the communication has been outstanding. We have set up our lines of communication with the client so that there is no confusion as to who is accountable for what part of the site. I am cc'ed on everything but each member of the team has established their own relationship with either the client or the proper member of her staff. I really don't see any problems other than perhaps some extremely minor revisions that would require very little effort on our part to rectify. The cooperation between the client and my team has been exemplary. Given the potential for how difficult this project might have been, we have been fortunate that the client is focused, attentive to our needs and very pleased with our efforts to date.

Problems or Concerns:

Damian Baker from the Face to Face group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We have had a lot of communication with the client as we are trying to finalize the design still. We have had frequent email contact and have had 2 face to face meetings so far. think the communication has gone well, and that we are getting all of the information that we need.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting went well. One of our contacts at Face to Face was going on vacation for a couple of weeks so we were forced to have the meeting without one of our content developers so that the client could attend. This constraint also prohibited us from completing the mock up prior to the meeting, as we had to hurry in order to meet with both of the clients. At the meeting there were some design changes suggested so we are making those changes and will have to client sign them off when completed this week. At the meeting the client signed off on the rest of the items (contract, deliverables, briefs, etc.).

Client/Team Interactions:
No problems so far, and I do not see any arising. I feel that once we get the design finalized, we should have a smooth production stage.

Problems or Concerns:

Dia Jenkins from the Napa Valley Breastfeeding Coalition group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Mostly email, but more phone calls as the project has progressed.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The proposal meeting is still pending.

Client/Team Interactions:
Interaction is becoming more frequent as last minute details are being worked out.

Problems or Concerns:

Donald Ensley from the REFB group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Several e-mails have been received from the client that direct us to create new web pages, update web pages, and retrieve image files for specific web pages. I have called the client once or twice to clarify e-mails that were not clear.

Meeting Accomplishments -
We will not have our web proposal meeting until possible the 23 of March, during Spring break. I do not foresee there being any problems. There should not be any loose ends left.

Client/Team Interactions:
The group is interacting very well with the client. The ISP has also supplied a mysql PHP panel interface that will greatly help to install the calendar and search bar applications for the client.

Problems or Concerns:

Donald Ensley from the REFB group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
I have had e-mail contact with client sending content updates for incorporation into the shell site, and have contacted the client in some phone calls to clarify any questions. We will be having a web proposal sign off during Spring break, on or around Wednesday, 3-23,2011, at 10 am.

Meeting Accomplishments -
I anticipate that the web proposal meeting will go smoothly, with no real gotchas or surprises.

Client/Team Interactions:
The group is interacting well with the client. I do not see any problems yet, except that the client has been consistently late in delivering final content, and last-minute design changes. I anticipate this will probably continue.

Problems or Concerns:

Jacqueline Richmond from the NAMI Sonoma County group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We primarily communicate with our client via e-mail. This communication takes place at least once a week (status reports) and every couple of days to follow-up and resolve outstanding questions. We have held face-to-face meetings with our client three times.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The Web Proposal meeting went well. It concluded very quickly with no surprises! I believe the client is clear on what their new web site will include. We still need to resolve which photos will be used and whether we will use SSI.

Client/Team Interactions:
The group is interacting very well with the client. I don't see any problems at this point.

Problems or Concerns:

Yoshinori Abe from the Face to Face group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We had a face to face meeting before the client meeting. I think we did well and were very prepared.

Meeting Accomplishments -
I think I have more than 60 % now, and it really takes time to gather the data. So far, I did everything and completed my work by the deadline

Client/Team Interactions:
Jenny has to do more modification for the mock-up. She is really working hard now. I think there is no problem.

Problems or Concerns:

Miranda Limonczenko from the Birth Psychology group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Our communication has been excellent. She responds promptly and with detail. She also checks in regularly. Our primary communication is still through email, and that works effectively.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The Web Proposal meetings went well and we all got a clear idea in the direction we wanted to go. Our obligations has become more concrete, and the client is very excited and eager. She said she wanted to keep us all forever.

Client/Team Interactions:
I see no problems arising. Everything is progressing as it should.

Problems or Concerns:

Richard Bassett from the Face To Face group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We have had fact to face meetings with the client about the mock ups and also the proposal. Our team communicates often by email and phone.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting went well. Clients had a few more changes but they understand what the new site will include. The only loose ends we have are the few changes to the site that the client made.

Client/Team Interactions:
Our team is working well together and we all interact with the client very well. No problems at this time.

Problems or Concerns:

Mary Neal-Norton from the Habitat for Humanity group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Though we had sent emails requesting information, we were having difficulty getting a good response from the client. Through team discussion, we decided that we would coordinate all emails to the client that concerned content through Sarah, our PM, as she was available to work closely with them. Once the Web Proposal meeting was done, the client came on board quickly and provided everything needed to get the project at 100% content.

Meeting Accomplishments -
Although we could not all be there, my understanding is that the Web Proposal meeting went fantastically-thanks to a willing, and cooperative client, an excellent PM, designer, and IMD. Sarah, stayed with the clients for 2 1/2 hours, having them go over EVERY page of the site and solving a lot of questions and problems. Since then, we have been inundated with the necessary info and already have the content on the new site.

Client/Team Interactions:
No, I see no problems. Everyone now understands their responsibilities on both ends and everyone has risen to the occasion and performed admirably. I don't foresee any problems because the site is already pretty far along at this stage.

Problems or Concerns:

Barbara Evans from the 4Paws group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We had a skype meeting for the web proposal meeting. We have had a lot of email communication regarding content details at least several times a week.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting went well. They signed the contract and deliverables. The loose ends that are in the process of being tied up are going through the shell site, page by page. They are making corrections as well as changes. There has been an ongoing issue with pictures submitted then later pulled due to some political issues with their organization.

Client/Team Interactions:
The group is interacting well with the client. The client is very appreciate and happy with our work so far. A concern is that the client might be surprised at how some of the second level pages look because they are a slightly different pattern than the mock ups they have seen. I was surprised during our web proposal meeting when the client said she wanted a block of donation-related text positioned next to the donate button in the side column. I had thought this would go in the body of the page with the rest of the text. This level of detail was not on the mock up, so I'm glad we understood their wish before production.

Problems or Concerns:

Cecilia Hernandez from the La Voz group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Mainly we have had email communication with a few face to face meetings

Meeting Accomplishments -
The proposal is signed. Our client did change her mind on a few items and they are been changed (to the site map and mockup). Once they changes are made we will email them to Ani to review. Ani is also reviewing the content and the changed recommended by Emelina and Micah. We will keep in with her tomorrow regarding the content

Client/Team Interactions:
Its hard to keep our client on track and focused at time. She likes to change her mind alot. But hopefully once these last changes are made, we will be set to go.

Problems or Concerns:

Noah Freitas from the Birth Psychology group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We have had three in person meetings, at least one phone conversation, and numerous emails back and forth. We have been in contact at least once or twice a week.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The meeting went very well. The client had many questions, which I felt was a good thing. I took it to mean that she was actually carefully reading the proposal. There were a few things that were penciled into the proposal at the meeting.

Client/Team Interactions:
Team client interaction has been very good so far. We all seem to get along really well together.

Problems or Concerns:

Caroline Quintanilla from the Birth Psychology group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
As the PM, I have contacted the client twice via email and phone to set up our web proposal meeting. We have had our face-to-face contract signing meeting with everyone in attendance (me via Skype, which worked with video, hooray!) The client signed the contract and we are set to begin production.

Meeting Accomplishments -
I don't believe there are any loose ends. We have had nearly daily communication with the client during the initial phase of the project. I believe that both the team and the client understand clearly what the site will look like and what it will do. At the meeting we changed a few details on the comps, and plan to add an additional Drupal module that will add one capability to the site not initially requested. Nothing major was changed.

Client/Team Interactions:
The group is interacting very well with the client. The client asked, tongue in cheek, if a clause to keep the team working with her forever could be added to the contract. I think the team feels the same way. The client has been very responsive and wonderful to work with.

Problems or Concerns:

Dennis Bolt from the NAMI Sonoma County group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Our PM does most of the communication, but all of us have had individual email and some phone conversations with the client. The client is not demanding, and they are organized, so the communication has been brief and efficient.

Meeting Accomplishments -
It went well. Our PM did a good job packaging our content for the client. Loose ends are small things that will be resolved in the final coding and the final insertion of content.

Client/Team Interactions:
Group is doing a good job. The client has requested practically no changes, which is great, but hopefully they truly understand the design and content structure. I'm sure that as the pages get built there will be minor changes, but that is natural in this kind of project.

Problems or Concerns:

Heriberto Villanueva from the APPPAH group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We have done skype and email communication

Meeting Accomplishments -
I was not able to attend the web proposal meeting but our PM said everything was ok. The clients knows what will be delivered and how the website will look. We are still waiting on the decision the client will make regarding the hosting provider, but we should get a definitive answer soon.

Client/Team Interactions:

Problems or Concerns:

Lennie Briese from the AIARE group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We presented the proposal in person as a team. We went over each section and agreed on almost everything. A couple of things were changed and we ended with a signed proposal.

Meeting Accomplishments -
We have a game plan for completing the project and the means to make it work. She did have a couple of questions and changes that we agreed to.

Client/Team Interactions:
We all seem to get along well with the client and she seems happy with us.

Matthew Lane from the The RainTree Initiative group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
While we mostly use email, we have briefly met in person on a few occasions. Communication with our client is mostly done by our project manager, though more recently we've been contacting him according to our roles in the project.

Meeting Accomplishments -
Because our client is working on behalf of a larger organization, there is a bit of a go-between going on between him and his organization. Because of this, I feel that there is some pressure on him, and it seems to manifest in the form of vague and rather large requests. We've been able to talk his requests down while still having him content.

Client/Team Interactions:
As I've stated before, our Project Manager does most of the talking, though it's opened up considerably as our individual roles have become more and more focused. The biggest problem I can see happening is having everything nearly done and then getting some negative feedback or requests for large changes from our client. Hopefully that will be avoided.

Client Meetings:
we have had face to face meetings and email. emails are about once a week but slowing because of the site moving forward. we have met 3 times with the client.

Meeting Accomplishments -
great, my team was well prepared and explianed thier parts clearly and the client reponded well. I am still working out some navigation isssues:)

Client/Team Interactions:
I think the client/team interaction is going great and there are no problems ariasing.

Austin Thom from the RECAMFT - Redwood Empire chapter of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We communicated both by email and in person, he has a busy schedule and takes a bit to get back via email but is otherwise excellent.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal went very well, the only loose end is if they plan to submit content for the Community Outreach section, which remains to be seen.

Client/Team Interactions:
The group is overall interacting very well with the client, there haven't been any mixups or misunderstandings as far as I know.

Problems or Concerns:

Diane Lapena from the RECAMFT group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Our team has had 4 successful face-to-face meetings with our client. We are having success with a Thursday morning time slot at his office. For the last meeting, we had one of our members attend the meeting via speaker phone and it worked well.

Meeting Accomplishments -
Our web proposal meeting with Linda went well, although we needed to clarify some details in our deliverables document and tech brief. The meeting helped us focus and refine on our vision for the website. When we met with the client for the web proposal, he was happy to sign off on the required docs, with some minor tweaking. We have continued to nail down the details and production should be ready to go.

Client/Team Interactions:
The client is pleasant and cooperative, and communicates well with the team. While he has a distinct vision of how he wants the site to look, he is easy to please and has expressed his satisfaction with the plan. I don't anticipate any problems at this stage of the class.

Problems or Concerns:

Kathy Samoun from the The RainTree Initiative group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
I have had numerous phone conversations with the client as well as a couple quick meetings to collect content.

Meeting Accomplishments -
We have not yet had our web proposal meeting as the client has yet to receive a design he is happy with and willing to sign off on. I do believe he is happy with the over all layout and that the pages can be started with the understanding that backgrounds and colors may change. I'm hoping this week we will have a design he will be happy with and will be willing to sign the proposal.

Client/Team Interactions:
My interaction with the client has been good. There has been some frustration on the clients part due to the design and him having a very specific vision which he does not want to compromise. We are working on getting him a design he will like and hopefully the site will go up.

Problems or Concerns:

Kathy Samoun from the RECAMFT group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
I have met with the client once and had numerous emails and a couple telephone conversations.

Meeting Accomplishments -
I did not attend the proposal meeting in person, but was on the phone. I believe the client understands what he will be included in his site. Everything is ready to go, except a search for some possible stock photos.

Client/Team Interactions:
Everyone is interacting well and I do not see any problems

Problems or Concerns:

Kerry Forbes from the SRJC Music group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Communication has been limited due to our team being less involved in the design process. Generally emails are responded to within a day and I have another meeting set up with the Client this Friday to follow up on other area's of the web-site

Meeting Accomplishments -
We are still to have this meeting. We meet with Linda on Wednesday and then will move forward with our client meeting with the proposal.

Client/Team Interactions:
I am generally sending emails to the client or PR to get updates. My main concern is getting all the content in as it is so behind. I have a few updates I am currently working on with the content, and am planning on getting more later during this week.

Carlos Downie from the Grandparents Parenting . . . Again group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Communication has been done mostly via email, however we have had meetings with the client as well. Usually in person meetings have been done to discuss important aspects of the project and gain valuable and instant feedback. We have had two meetings so far with the client where the entire team attended. Additionally my team members have met on separate occasions with the client to talk about and get feedback about the design and content of the website. As far as our email communication, the client receives email from team members whenever there are any questions or feedback is needed. I also email the client whenever there is any questions or concerns and to update them on the progress of the project.

Meeting Accomplishments -
I believe the proposal meeting went very well. We were able to discuss the project in a relaxed manner to ensure that nothing was rushed and the client was able to take their time to voice any questions or concerns they had. The client understands what they're getting and my team has done a good job in making sure they're satisfied.

Client/Team Interactions:
The group is interacting well with the client, there are no problems so far. All interactions have been constructive and positive.

Problems or Concerns:

Maggie Gallotti from the apppah group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Roger arranged to meet the client today. I was not able to attend this meeting. The client had more changes to the design that Roger gave me and the client is also not sure about moving to Webvanta. The last time I had spoken to Maureen was on 3/8 where she had a few changes that I made. I was surprised she had more today.

Meeting Accomplishments -
Same problem deciding on Webvanta and what the requirements are. They want Webvanta to do everything.

Client/Team Interactions:
I think everybody likes the client. I think that the client wants to resolve the problem with the current developer they have quickly, but I don't think that is going to be possible to do in two months.

Problems or Concerns:

Damian Baker from the LITE Initiatives group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
I sent an email to them last week when I sent the design mock up to them and have not received a reply. I am going to email them tomorrow if they have not responded by then.

Meeting Accomplishments -
We have not had the web proposal meeting yet. We plan on having it next week.

Client/Team Interactions:
The client is very hard to communicate with. The supervisor can be quite rude. The project manager does the bulk of the communication with them, unless it has to do with design, then I try to contact them.

Problems or Concerns:

Barbara Evans from the Sonoma Count Museum group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Usually we have email communication with our client. We had a face to face web proposal meeting with them. Tom met with them face to face in a follow up meeting last week.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting went well. The client understands what their web site will include because we discussed the details in the storyboard and deliverables. The client had previewed this information so was familiar with it prior to our meeting.

Client/Team Interactions:
The group is interacting well with the client and is listening to what they want and being responsive. Linda's advice to ask "does this look right to you?" was great. I don't see any problems.

Problems or Concerns:

Anastasia Hockinson from the LITE Initiatives group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We had an initial meeting in person and then we have been communicating through email.

Meeting Accomplishments -
We are still working on the web proposal since we have had difficulties with the client making so many changes. We should have everything finished by the end of this week. I believe the client understands now what the website will include.

Client/Team Interactions:
I think our group is interacting fine with the client, however, they are a little difficult.

Problems or Concerns:

Janis Oberman from the Children's Village group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
I used email and phone communication with the client. Also, we had two face to face meetings, once of which I attended. I communicate with this client at most one time per week on average.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting seems to have gone well. I got a better idea about what the client wanted, especially around the slide show and the calendar deliverables.

Client/Team Interactions:
The main problem I see with this client is that they are somewhat difficult to contact.

Problems or Concerns:

Peter Wilson from the Sonoma Humane Society group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Our regularly scheduled meetings are held on Fridays and are going very well. We have only missed one of those meetings and we seem to get a lot done. We continue to email with our client frequently which seems to be working well on both ends.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting went great and I think both sides have a good understanding about what is going on with the new website.

Client/Team Interactions:
I have not heard of any problems interacting with the client as of now.

Client Meetings:
We mostly use email but presented our web proposal at the tool library. We email as necessary 1-2 times a week and I can meet to exchange content if necessary

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal presentation was easy. We are still working on the content management how-to-do-it.

Client/Team Interactions:
no problems here.

Problems or Concerns:

Thomas Mcsweeney from the Sonoma County Museum group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
I'm in email and phone contact with Kirsten Olney, business Manager, Diane Evans, the Executive Director, and Sarah-Jane Wiseman, Development Associate of the Sonoma County Museum. This past week I met with Diane and Sarah-Jane to verify the images used for the four Slideshows we'll be using for the Museum site and it was a productive and positive meeting.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The Web Proposal was a huge success. The staff responded with satisfaction and excitement and the loose ends of verifying Slideshow images were tied up this week to the satisfaction of all.

Client/Team Interactions:
I don't think I over state our position when I say the Museum loves us. They're so appreciative and excited to be updating their website, and are very pleased with what we've presented. No forseeable problems.

Problems or Concerns:

Debb Womack from the Sant Rosa Tool Library group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
As the project manager,I have had two face to face meetings with the client. There have been a couple of times that under ordinary circumstances I would have delivered or picked up content. However, because the Des/CD Mark lives blocks rather than miles away he delivered content himself. I have averaged about one e-mail with the client each week. Since the project started, I have communicated about 3-4 times by phone with the client.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal went extremely well. The client explained that we were creating a template that could utilized by tool libraries throughout the United States. This would make websites for new start up libraries easier. The main issue to be resolved is if it would be better to use Webvanta or Dreamweaver and FancyZoom to display the vast collection of tools. The client did sign a comtract, and signed off on the shell site.

Client/Team Interactions:
With only a two man team, Mark and I have not had any problems interacting with the client. The client has a very clear vision of how he wants the website to appear and managed to convey not only the what and also the why. There will be time constraints when it comes to the issue of displaying 300+ photos of tools but the client seems to understand that he will receive only 30-50. He will continue the task on hs own.

Problems or Concerns:

Tina Mourad from the The Childrens Village of Sonoma County group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We had a face-to-face meeting with client when handing off the web proposal. Between myself and the client, it has been 50/50 between email and phone. Phone is easier with the client. Since the web proposal, we exchanged two or three communiques

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal went well. The clients had a much clearer idea of what their website was going to look like. They wanted another comp .. ended up creating 2 extra comps based on their preferences to try and narrow down what they wanted. I don't think there are any loose ends.

Client/Team Interactions:
The PM is doing a great job updating the client. For the most part, information is sent to PM who then informs the client. I don't see any problems at this point.

Problems or Concerns:

Derek Bowker from the Sonoma County Reptile Rescue group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
The type of communication we have had with the client is email, phone calls, and face to face meetings. One of these happens at least once a week.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The Web Proposal meeting went very well. Our client understands what their website will include and we have no loose ends that need to be tied up.

Client/Team Interactions:
The group is interacting with the client very well. I see no problems arising at this stage of the class.

Problems or Concerns:

Deanna Stropes from the Redwood Empire Active 2030 Club group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Except for one phone call, all of my communication has been via e-mail, as requested by the client. Until she signed off on the proposal we communicated several times a week.

Meeting Accomplishments -
Because of the many fine-tuning changes requested by the client, there wasn't time to meet in person before the deadline. Instead, I sent PDF files for the entire proposal for her review. After a few revisions, she finally approved the PDF files on March 15, and the design a day or two later (along with one last little change). Our Deliverables document was very detailed, and she expressed satisfaction and understanding for what she will receive. No loose ends.

Client/Team Interactions:
Our client is a graphic designer who works for a web development company. This has been a mixed blessing until now, because of her very hands on involvement in the design phase of the project. She was very into the smallest details, and kept requesting one little "fix" after another, right up to the deadline for the proposal sign-off. We had a lot of e-mail communication, which could have been more streamlined if we hadn't needed to make more than one request for an answer to a question. She would occasionally overlook one question if we asked a series of questions in one message. At this point in the process, I don't foresee any major problems arising.

Problems or Concerns:

Jaena Bloomquist from the AIA group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
It has been mostly email with occasional phone calls and in-person meetings. We have a regular meeting schedule with her; generally every two weeks.

Meeting Accomplishments -
It went well; there were a few things that she wanted different and she tends to want to add things still, but our PM has done a good job of making it clear that the time for changes has come to an end. We need to figure out exactly how to set up the Webvanta database, and we still need to work out how the layout will be on some of the second-level pages.

Client/Team Interactions:
We are doing well with the client; the only thing I worry about is that she might possibly want to continue sending content additions and changes our way.

Problems or Concerns:

Client Meetings:
Client communication continues to be good, and effective. We continue to meet with Angie via skype, on Friday's. Client also joins the meeting, usually for the first 30min to discuss our progress. If individual team members have questions, they contact the client and usually copy the team.

Meeting Accomplishments -
Meeting with the client went well, and the client was very thorough, and asked lots of questions. Minor changes were made and initialed by the client as we review the proposal. Think we have covered all the loss ends and are read to start.

Client/Team Interactions:
Team members have a good relationship with the client, and we are on track.

Kimberly Collins from the LITE Initiatives group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Has the PM, I met with the client once in the very beginning to get things started. My teammates are not local and I was going to be away for a week so I just wanted to give the client a face to our group. Then about 2 weeks later, our team met with the client again to look at more detailed design ideas. We have mostly communicated with the client using email although the main decision make is very slow at responding. Because of design issues, the PM and Instructor, met with the client again to iron out a problem with the requested design.

Meeting Accomplishments -
I am the PM and realized the importance of an agenda. I did not create one and that made the meeting a little scattered. Although we resolved some design questions, we could have done more if we had had an agenda. The client, however, does not make decisions easily and that has also created a lot of delays.

Client/Team Interactions:
The interaction with the client, although cordial, has been a strain behind the scenes. They are working on web pages for elements not encompassed in this design and they have posted the comp to their future website even though they have not given us an approval of it. We have been a little frustrated by this.

Problems or Concerns:

Nancy Tracy from the AIA Redwood Empire group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We have face to face meetings about every other week. The CD and DES have had extra meetings to go over the content and design. I have had some direct content by e-mail regarding the database and this will be picking up more as we go on.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting went fine. The storyboard was presented. The main loose end we had at that time was webvanta, but that has since been authorized.

Client/Team Interactions:
I do not see any problems at this stage. We are set to go with webvanta.

Problems or Concerns:

James (Jim) Anderson from the A Wildlife Exclusion Service group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
The team has met with the client a couple of times face to face, phone and email. We haven't met a lot with the client because it wasn't necessary. The process has been running quite smoothly between the team and the client. We had 100% of the content in the early stages...the photos came next. I am still waiting on a couple more photos but should be seeing them by the end of the day.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting went very well. The entire team met with the client and were prepared to answer any questions about the proposal that might arise. The client is aware of what we are creating for her and the site will include. The client is very happy with the process so far and outside of the aboved mentioned photos there are no loose ends to tie up before production starts.

Client/Team Interactions:
The group has a good relationship with the client and as far as I can tell there are no problems arising.

Client Meetings:
Emailing and IM is the way I communicate best with the client. I don't do a lot of face to face with my client since her office is very far away and not very easy to for me to find. I do call her when I need an immediate response.

Meeting Accomplishments -
I did not attend the meeting because the PM told me a day before the meeting that the meeting would be tomorrow and that was very last minute and complicated for my schedule. I was told that all went well and I made small changes to the shell.

Client/Team Interactions:
The groups is interacting well with the cliend and there are no problems yet. It still would be a little better if I can get a response from the client just a little bit quicker but no problems yet.

1 face to face meeting 1 Telephone call Numerous emails occurring once to twice per week

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting conducted with our client was conducted remotely via email, and all went well with the exception that the client failed to sign off on the Web Proposal on the designated date and in turn signed off one day late. Yes, the client understands what their new web site will include. The only loose end that needs to be addressed is the lack of content on one of the pages, e.g. past presidents, which ultimately may result in one of their pages consisting of no content.

Client/Team Interactions:
Great. No problems at this stage of the class.

Problems or Concerns:

Anna Narbutovskih from the The Raintree Initiative group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We've had several face to face meetings with the client, phone calls and emails.

Meeting Accomplishments -
We presented the web proposal to the client but it's not clear that the client read the proposal. As the client is still requiring new design compositions and has thus far refused to sign off on the proposal we are not ready for production.

Client/Team Interactions:
The client has many issues with the design and the process and there has been some friction. Nailing down a final design that the client will accept is a very real concern.

Meeting Accomplishments -
Monte and I met with Angie the morning following the proposal check with you. She liked what we proposed and we only had a few minor changes to make. She signed the proposal and we have everything we need from her to start the production. Peter is working on the templates, which should be ready before Monday.

Client/Team Interactions:
The team has a great working relationship with Angie. She responds to our calls and emails and sends the needed information right away. She was VERY happy to hear that we would be creating all of the pages for the new web site! I am confident that we will get it all done and the client will be very satisfied :)

Problems or Concerns:

Client Meetings:
As PM, I e-mail the client at least once a week to give them a status update. I have probably also been averaging at least one additional e-mail per week to address different issues. We have also had two face-to-face meetings with the entire team.

Meeting Accomplishments -
Overall, it went very well. The client wanted an additional day to review the documents before signing them, so I left them with the client and picked up the signed documents the next day. It would say that the client has a good understanding what the site will include. The only real issue that we've had is over the design of the site. The client has asked for numerous minor revisions to the comps. These have been implemented, and the designer is moving forward with constructing the template. The client has been told that no further comps will be produced.

Client/Team Interactions:
Overall communication has been good. The client is responsive to e-mail. They are very direct with their requests but seem able to accept no when their requests are unmeetable.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meet went very well. The client was happy with everything we've done. No complaints and we worked out some of the smaller details.

Meeting Accomplishments -
I did not attend this meeting, as I was on vacation however from what I was told by our PM that everything went well.

We frequently communicate with our client via email. As a team we have had 2 major meetings discussing the progress of the project and the proposal.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The meeting went well. The client appeared to understand what she would be receiving from the team and is satisfied with what the team currently has. The team is ready to move on with the production.

Client Meetings:
Most communication with our client has been face to face at our meetings. We done a little communication through e-mail and a few simple phone calls. We haven't encountered too many problems so the face to face meetings have been pretty sufficient for us.

Meeting Accomplishments -
i was unable to attend this meeting. But as I know from my team our client understands what will be included in the website. They had a few little changes to make. I think we are ready to begin production.

Client/Team Interactions:
The interaction between the group and our client is great. Things seem to be going very well and I don't think we'll will run into any major problems.

Problems or Concerns:

Stefan Fanslow from the Women's Global Leadership Initiative group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
we had 2 face to face meetings with the client. the first went good. the second was a bit awkward. since we agreed to have the PM act as a 'filter', I can't speak to other types of communication. Candace appears to have been fired (she's the daughter of the client) and Michael appears to have quit (the !@#$%^ ran away).

Meeting Accomplishments -
the client can't make up her mind, and childishly wants to keep adding things.. I disagree with Doane about the meeting introducing anything relevantly new. there was only 1 thing mentioned at the meeting that was new, however, in latter communication there was a number of features which the client added (weekly focus on specific women, specific video).

Client/Team Interactions:
it's the 23rd and we don't have what the website will hold locked down at the moment..

Problems or Concerns:

Doane Atwood from the Women's Global Leadership Initiative group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We've had two group meetings with the client. I've exchanged several emails with the client, CC'ing the WGLI team on many of them and on some of the responses. I generally send them messages weekly, but I'm a message behind at this point due to competing demands. I plan to get back on track very shortly. I have also had several phone and text-message communications with the client, originally with Candace, more recently with Linda since Candace is no longer working on the project.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting went pretty well, but there were quite a few changes to the proposal. I am still writing things up and will need to meet with her to get her signature on the proposal. I think she understands what the site will include, but she does keep sending add-on requests. A few of them have been very easy to do, and we will accommodate those, but others (like have some pages produced in Croatian as well as English) are bigger than I think we can realistically incorporate in the project, given the number of pages we're already producing and the late date of the request. I have respectfully requested that she make this a future development project for the WGLI site.

Client/Team Interactions:
The biggest issues I'm having with the client are that there is now only one person on the team on the client side, and she's pulled in several directions, which means that she only gets to work on things like web content in fits and starts. When she does it she gets lots done, but there are delays. The only other issue is that she wants the team to tell her the "right" way to do some things that really should be her decision. While I don't have a problem with the team giving her options, I think she needs to be the one to make the final decisions, not us.

Meeting Accomplishments -
My team members did a good jog presenting their parts of the web proposal. The final design was not decided upon yet, but has been decided today.

Client/Team Interactions:
Problems are being ironed out.

Problems or Concerns:

Stephen Rodier from the American Philharmonic group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Our communication is mostly email. The client is available for face to face meetings so we do meet when it is necessary.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting went smoothly we were prepared and the client understood her part. small corrections were made and initialed and everything was signed.

Client/Team Interactions:
We all interact well with the the client well, the fact part of her job is public relations helps a lot. I don't see any problems at this point.

Problems or Concerns:

Bradley Mark from the Partners for Sustainable Pollination group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We have emailed and had face to face. Our first meeting may not have been definitive enough. We thought the client was a little more aware of the needs as she has taken the course before. It has been a struggle to get content.

Meeting Accomplishments -
Was not there, however we put together such an excellent package it should have went smooth. We need to assure that the client knows the "go live" conditions/restrictions that the SRJC is placing on the web site

Client/Team Interactions:
right now contact is mostly by the PM. Seems to be fine - she signed the proposal & contract.

Problems or Concerns:

Larry Roberts from the FANHS group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We email several times a week and sometimes several times a day as the subject warrants. We had a telephone conversation regarding the project and expectations. Sometimes we leave a voicemail message and get responses by telephone. Our client knows how to scan documents and attach to email and sends us word, jpeg, and adobe pdf content and information. I worked with our client to help them set up their ISP account.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The Web Proposal discussion was done over the telephone and then followed up with voicemail and email messages. There were questions about training and Credit for the web team on the FANHS site. The FANHS client agreed to letting us have the Optional Web Credit, subject to their approval. The client has a good understanding of what we will provide, although Randy, the designer, has asked for clarification on some of the content links.

Client/Team Interactions:
I interact a lot (PM), and right now Randy (DES) is interacting to bring closure to a few questions now that the website is being built on www.fanhssonoma.org. I do not see any major hurdles at this point.

Problems or Concerns:

Cathea Scheer from the Partners for Sustainable Pollination group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
brief communication when group met twice with her. my role has not required me to email or phone her. she has not given this project her focus and therefore is unprepared at the meetings and doesn't seem to get it. she has time management issues being occupied with running a store, etc.

Meeting Accomplishments -
did not meet with client over web proposal. she said she was unavailable due to busy season at her store.

Client/Team Interactions:
The DE and PM are communicating the best they can considering the lack of response on the client end. They have said she does not check emails regularly or respond regularly. We are continuing as best we can.

Problems or Concerns:

Anna Narbutovskih from the Sonoma County Folk Society group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
I have attended two of the face to face meetings with the client and participated in the frequent fluid flow of email.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting went very well. The client seems to finally understand that we are asking them to take a critical look at the current site architecture and visualize something more modern and interesting. We made some changes to the flow of the site but nothing too major. The client is very grateful that we're doing this site.

Client/Team Interactions:
The team works well with the client and we both want to produce a positive result.

Problems or Concerns:

Dusty Dwyer from the United Against Sexual Assault (UASA) of Sonoma County group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
I have been in touch with the client almost every day for the past 4 weeks. The purpose of this was to get content, and resolve and any issues with it. Our face-to-face Proposal meeting last week, went very well.

Meeting Accomplishments -
AS, of today, I would say we have a very clear understanding. We went over the pages that were going to be included, and also I got an email from the client confirming this also after the meeting. We received the design decision today. Now, it is a matter of whether we can learn Wordpress in the next 2 weeks.

Client/Team Interactions:
No problems. Good communications.

Problems or Concerns:

Albert Shanto from the Legal Aid of Sonoma County group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We've had 4 face to face meeting with our client, and will meet with them again this week. We've exchanged over 60 emails, averaging several per week.

Meeting Accomplishments -
I was not able to attend the meeting due to health issues. Our PM met with the client and reviewed the proposal with them. The client was happy with the proposal and signed off on it. The only loose end which still needs to be tied up that I'm aware of is finalizing the placement of images in the slideshows and on the individual pages of the site. I will meet with the client this week to finish this.

Client/Team Interactions:
Our group has been interacting very well with the client. I do not foresee any problems arising at this stage of the process.

Rebecca F from the Sonoma County Folk Society group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We have had the proposal f2f and a content f2f with the client. Both went well. The team seemed organized and on track as a whole for the latest meeting and are moving forward into the next development phase. Email updates daily.

Meeting Accomplishments -
Our client has a much clearer understanding of the overall project now after the content status meeting and are very supportive. They do sometimes need a bit of a nudge with regard to content. The feedback has been very positive with the overall direction so far.

Client/Team Interactions:
The team seems to interact quite well with the client group. Most of the communication has been funneled through the PM with the exception of some specific design questions/issues that have been handled by the designer (myself).

Problems or Concerns:

Randy Jaillet from the FANHS group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Our communication with the client has been almost entirely through email. We usually send on average several emails a day back and forth with information, content, questions & answers, etc.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The clients seem to be satisfied with the proposal, though they had a few questions that they've sorted out with the PM Larry since then. I think we are good to go with production.

Client/Team Interactions:
We're interacting fine. Enough to be efficient and have the info we all need, but minimally enough that no one is getting on each other's nerves that I know of. :)

Amy McVicar from the Sonoma County Folk Society group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We have monthly meetings with the client. The latest one was on Friday for two hours, to go over the shell site, outstanding questions, and the web proposal. The whole team met with the Director and one other person from SoCoFoSo.

Meeting Accomplishments -
It went very well. We managed to cover the entire agenda created by the PM, Nichelle, and only went about 5 min.s over the allotted 2 hours scheduled. We do have have a few loose ends to tie up. But the client is aware of what we need and we will be able to continue and finish if the client can't deliver. The client is aware of what will be used if they do not provide additional copy so I don't believe we have anything that could potentially delay the project.

Client/Team Interactions:
The group interacts well with the client and I don't foresee any problems.

Problems or Concerns:

Nichelle Rourke from the Sonoma County Folk Society group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We meet with the client once a month and communicate via email otherwise. They have increased email communication and have been good about answering questions and submitting content.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The Web proposal meeting went very well because we were able to discuss many important parts of the website. Only the main director and one other person represented the client at this meeting, while our entire team was available for the first time. Printing out each page of the shell site helped to clarify each page and the final expectations for each. I also created a photo catalog in html of every photo submitted by the client. The client was able to give me all the important information for each photo, and at the meeting was able to select exactly which pictures he chose for each page.

Client/Team Interactions:
Both our team and the client remain excited about this project, which makes interaction very relaxed. Each member emails the specific client member when necessary and gets good responses in return. I think all problems can be worked out. Even if final content is not received we can use what we have available. I have faith that any problems with creating the site will be worked out.

Problems or Concerns:

Mark Foote from the American Philharmonic group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Our client has been very responsive to team emails, and we have had no problem arranging meetings and discussing the design, content, and proposal so far.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The meeting went very well, and the client signed off on every page of the content and on the deliverables/design mock-ups. Since we are basically redesigning an existing site, we all have an excellent idea of what is expected in terms of the final content, and I think our client understands the differences we have put forward for the new design. The only loose end I can see is the actual implementation and testing of some of the pages that involve server-side content, but the client does understand that we will only be providing links to that content, and we are not responsible for the server-side aspects of the functionality.

Client/Team Interactions:
I think we have excellent rapport with our client, and I don't see any problems at this point in the process.

Problems or Concerns:

Grant Brott from the Womens Global Leadership Initiative group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
I have had only email communication with the client however we have met as a team with the client on several occasions now and our PM has regular email and phone communication with them.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting went well, we got some things that needed covered taken care of and last minute changes done. The client has a good understanding of what they are going to get. We also covered the remaining things we need from the client so we can begin production.

Client/Team Interactions:
I see no problems at this stage everyone is communicating well from my view.

Problems or Concerns:

Susan Bergna from the PFSP group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We have met face-to-face with the client twice. I have communicated via e-mail with the client fairly often (probably at least once a week). I have called the client 3-4 times to get feedback and ask questions.

Meeting Accomplishments -
Our PM took care of the web proposal. I had gotten the OK on the design before the proposal was finished so was able to start coding. Katia e-mailed me last week to let me know they were happy with the design and no changes were needed. She also mentioned they had a new logo but she hasn't yet sent it to me. They might not send it at all and just add it to the site themselves. As far as I know there are no loose ends but we haven't heard from our PM as to when it was signed or if they need anything else.

Client/Team Interactions:
Our interactions are fine. Katia has made it clear that the PFSP board doesn't have time to deal with the creation of a website right now, that we won't receive any more information from them and that they just want to be taught how to add content and make changes on their own. The design is fine and they are happy with the navigation bar. (Which was the one thing that was absolutely specified.) We know where we stand and all is OK.

Problems or Concerns:

Barbara Vallauri from the Saturday Afternoon Club group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
I've had three face-to-face meetings with our client, and these have been very productive. They are not internet-savvy at all and I personally have not had any email from them although I've sent several. Most of our communications have been between the client and our team's PM.

Meeting Accomplishments -
Our first Web Proposal meeting went well, but we had to spend some time describing how our mockup pages and shell site pages would be transformed to their live site. They had some last minute minor changes to content and have since signed off on the proposal. I'm not aware of any loose ends at this point.

Client/Team Interactions:
Our group communications with the client are excellent. I don't foresee any problems at this point.

Problems or Concerns:

Gary Cross from the Saturday Afternoon Club group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
Mostly by email and in person; including a few phone calls. Mainly to confirm meetings, etc. Then one final meeting with the client, to get signed off on the proposal.

Meeting Accomplishments -
Went pretty well; only a few changes needed to be made. Client understands how things will work, once the site is put together. I think things are pretty wrapped up, to begin production.

Client/Team Interactions:
We all have explained the process of how things work, by putting the proposal togethe. Also, how the web site will be put together and soon ready for testing. Seems things are running smoothly at this point.

Problems or Concerns:

Jerilynn Johnson from the Legal Aid of Sonoma County group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
We have had numerous emails with our client, and a total of three face-to-face meetings. I don't know how many emails total but at least 30-40 over the course of the semester - and that guess is probably on the low end.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting went very well. I brought my laptop computer, opened up each page of the shell site, and let the client make any changes right there on the spot. This really seemed to speed up the process! I think we are about ready to start production soon :)

Client/Team Interactions:
I don't see any problems at this stage.

Client Meetings:
I have communicated mostley thru email with 4 face to face meetings which has all been going well. I touch base with the client at least 2x a week but between me and the rest of the team several times a week. I think this will be slowing as we have recived most of info we need to proceed.

Meeting Accomplishments -
Great, everything was acomplished and signed off. We were thuro in going over proposal elemts and shell site, client feel good with results. We will have desing layout approved by friday.

Client/Team Interactions:
I think the client is doing there best but expects to much sometimes. when I let them know our limitations they are very nice about it thou. challanging client but i like it becuase I am still doing well with them and learning so much. no problems we havent worked out. Still wondering about wordpress.

Problems or Concerns:

Gloria Batemon from the American Philharmonic group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
I have recieved e-mails and have spoken to Krisha with the rest of the team, at face to face meetings. If I need things (like logos), I am in contact with Krisha via e-mail and she has always responded right away. We meet with the client every other week and talk back and forth via e-mail in between meeting dates.

Meeting Accomplishments -
We all met at Starbucks, sat down and went over the Web Proposal one page at a time (which was necessary to make sure the client knew fully what was going to be expected from us. Each of us spoke about the parts we contributed and what the parts meant. We went through the shell site, page by page. Krisha totally understood what the new site would look like (with the exception of the loose ends that needed to be completed). There are still some loose ends left to complete prior to beginning, but I'm sure we will be seeing the changes soon. there

Client/Team Interactions:
Once the design is completed, I do not foresee any problems arising as we are all ready to get the project started. The client seemed pretty happy with what she was saw and signed the minutes which stated the "loose ends" that needed completing. I believe we all are interacting well with the client in the face to face meetings and via e-mail.

Problems or Concerns:

Jerry Adamson from the American Philharmonic-Sonoma County group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report

Client Meetings:
The team has been meeting with the client on a regular schedule. We meet face to face approximately every two weeks and communicate through email for other times.

Meeting Accomplishments -
The team met off-site with the client on 3.12.2009 regarding the web proposal. We went through the deliverables, storyboard, mock-ups, shell site, and the contract. The client and the team make minor suggestions and we all initialed the pages and signed the contract. I sent out minutes of the meeting that the client agreed was correct. All loose ends were summarized in the minutes.

Client/Team Interactions:
The group is interacting very well with the client. Questions are being asked and the client has reponded. I don't anticipate any problem with the client.
