Jessica Bobier from the Saturday Afternoon Club group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report
Client Meetings:
Most communication with our client has been face to face at our meetings. We done a little communication through e-mail and a few simple phone calls. We haven't encountered too many problems so the face to face meetings have been pretty sufficient for us.
Meeting Accomplishments -
i was unable to attend this meeting. But as I know from my team our client understands what will be included in the website. They had a few little changes to make. I think we are ready to begin production.
Client/Team Interactions:
The interaction between the group and our client is great. Things seem to be going very well and I don't think we'll will run into any major problems.
Problems or Concerns:
Stefan Fanslow from the Women's Global Leadership Initiative group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report
Client Meetings:
we had 2 face to face meetings with the client. the first went good. the second was a bit awkward. since we agreed to have the PM act as a 'filter', I can't speak to other types of communication. Candace appears to have been fired (she's the daughter of the client) and Michael appears to have quit (the !@#$%^ ran away).
Meeting Accomplishments -
the client can't make up her mind, and childishly wants to keep adding things.. I disagree with Doane about the meeting introducing anything relevantly new. there was only 1 thing mentioned at the meeting that was new, however, in latter communication there was a number of features which the client added (weekly focus on specific women, specific video).
Client/Team Interactions:
it's the 23rd and we don't have what the website will hold locked down at the moment..
Problems or Concerns:
Doane Atwood from the Women's Global Leadership Initiative group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report
Client Meetings:
We've had two group meetings with the client. I've exchanged several emails with the client, CC'ing the WGLI team on many of them and on some of the responses. I generally send them messages weekly, but I'm a message behind at this point due to competing demands. I plan to get back on track very shortly. I have also had several phone and text-message communications with the client, originally with Candace, more recently with Linda since Candace is no longer working on the project.
Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting went pretty well, but there were quite a few changes to the proposal. I am still writing things up and will need to meet with her to get her signature on the proposal. I think she understands what the site will include, but she does keep sending add-on requests. A few of them have been very easy to do, and we will accommodate those, but others (like have some pages produced in Croatian as well as English) are bigger than I think we can realistically incorporate in the project, given the number of pages we're already producing and the late date of the request. I have respectfully requested that she make this a future development project for the WGLI site.
Client/Team Interactions:
The biggest issues I'm having with the client are that there is now only one person on the team on the client side, and she's pulled in several directions, which means that she only gets to work on things like web content in fits and starts. When she does it she gets lots done, but there are delays. The only other issue is that she wants the team to tell her the "right" way to do some things that really should be her decision. While I don't have a problem with the team giving her options, I think she needs to be the one to make the final decisions, not us.

Client Meetings:
We have had several meetings face to face. The meetings worked better when there were less people. There had been a lot of email communication. It worked fairly well.
Meeting Accomplishments -
My team members did a good jog presenting their parts of the web proposal. The final design was not decided upon yet, but has been decided today.
Client/Team Interactions:
Problems are being ironed out.
Problems or Concerns:

Client Meetings:
Our communication is mostly email. The client is available for face to face meetings so we do meet when it is necessary.
Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting went smoothly we were prepared and the client understood her part. small corrections were made and initialed and everything was signed.
Client/Team Interactions:
We all interact well with the the client well, the fact part of her job is public relations helps a lot. I don't see any problems at this point.
Problems or Concerns:

Client Meetings:
We have emailed and had face to face. Our first meeting may not have been definitive enough. We thought the client was a little more aware of the needs as she has taken the course before.
It has been a struggle to get content.
Meeting Accomplishments -
Was not there, however we put together such an excellent package it should have went smooth. We need to assure that the client knows the "go live" conditions/restrictions that the SRJC is placing on the web site
Client/Team Interactions:
right now contact is mostly by the PM. Seems to be fine - she signed the proposal & contract.
Problems or Concerns:
Larry Roberts from the FANHS group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report
Client Meetings:
We email several times a week and sometimes several times a day as the subject warrants. We had a telephone conversation regarding the project and expectations. Sometimes we leave a voicemail message and get responses by telephone. Our client knows how to scan documents and attach to email and sends us word, jpeg, and adobe pdf content and information. I worked with our client to help them set up their ISP account.
Meeting Accomplishments -
The Web Proposal discussion was done over the telephone and then followed up with voicemail and email messages. There were questions about training and Credit for the web team on the FANHS site. The FANHS client agreed to letting us have the Optional Web Credit, subject to their approval.
The client has a good understanding of what we will provide, although Randy, the designer, has asked for clarification on some of the content links.
Client/Team Interactions:
I interact a lot (PM), and right now Randy (DES) is interacting to bring closure to a few questions now that the website is being built on www.fanhssonoma.org. I do not see any major hurdles at this point.
Problems or Concerns:

Client Meetings:
brief communication when group met twice with her. my role has not required me to email or phone her. she has not given this project her focus and therefore is unprepared at the meetings and doesn't seem to get it. she has time management issues being occupied with running a store, etc.
Meeting Accomplishments -
did not meet with client over web proposal. she said she was unavailable due to busy season at her store.
Client/Team Interactions:
The DE and PM are communicating the best they can considering the lack of response on the client end. They have said she does not check emails regularly or respond regularly. We are continuing as best we can.
Problems or Concerns:

Client Meetings:
I have attended two of the face to face meetings with the client and participated in the frequent fluid flow of email.
Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting went very well. The client seems to finally understand that we are asking them to take a critical look at the current site architecture and visualize something more modern and interesting. We made some changes to the flow of the site but nothing too major. The client is very grateful that we're doing this site.
Client/Team Interactions:
The team works well with the client and we both want to produce a positive result.
Problems or Concerns:

Client Meetings:
I have been in touch with the client almost every day for the past 4 weeks. The purpose of this was to get content, and resolve and any issues with it. Our face-to-face Proposal meeting last week, went very well.
Meeting Accomplishments -
AS, of today, I would say we have a very clear understanding. We went over the pages that were going to be included, and also I got an email from the client confirming this also after the meeting. We received the design decision today. Now, it is a matter of whether we can learn Wordpress in the next 2 weeks.
Client/Team Interactions:
No problems. Good communications.

Client Meetings:
We've had 4 face to face meeting with our client, and will meet with them again this week. We've exchanged over 60 emails, averaging several per week.
Meeting Accomplishments -
I was not able to attend the meeting due to health issues. Our PM met with the client and reviewed the proposal with them. The client was happy with the proposal and signed off on it.
The only loose end which still needs to be tied up that I'm aware of is finalizing the placement of images in the slideshows and on the individual pages of the site. I will meet with the client this week to finish this.
Client/Team Interactions:
Our group has been interacting very well with the client. I do not foresee any problems arising at this stage of the process.

Client Meetings:
We have had the proposal f2f and a content f2f with the client. Both went well. The team seemed organized and on track as a whole for the latest meeting and are moving forward into the next development phase. Email updates daily.
Meeting Accomplishments -
Our client has a much clearer understanding of the overall project now after the content status meeting and are very supportive. They do sometimes need a bit of a nudge with regard to content. The feedback has been very positive with the overall direction so far.
Client/Team Interactions:
The team seems to interact quite well with the client group. Most of the communication has been funneled through the PM with the exception of some specific design questions/issues that have been handled by the designer (myself).
Problems or Concerns:
Randy Jaillet from the FANHS group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report
Client Meetings:
Our communication with the client has been almost entirely through email. We usually send on average several emails a day back and forth with information, content, questions & answers, etc.
Meeting Accomplishments -
The clients seem to be satisfied with the proposal, though they had a few questions that they've sorted out with the PM Larry since then. I think we are good to go with production.
Client/Team Interactions:
We're interacting fine. Enough to be efficient and have the info we all need, but minimally enough that no one is getting on each other's nerves that I know of. :)

Client Meetings:
We have monthly meetings with the client. The latest one was on Friday for two hours, to go over the shell site, outstanding questions, and the web proposal. The whole team met with the Director and one other person from SoCoFoSo.
Meeting Accomplishments -
It went very well. We managed to cover the entire agenda created by the PM, Nichelle, and only went about 5 min.s over the allotted 2 hours scheduled.
We do have have a few loose ends to tie up. But the client is aware of what we need and we will be able to continue and finish if the client can't deliver. The client is aware of what will be used if they do not provide additional copy so I don't believe we have anything that could potentially delay the project.
Client/Team Interactions:
The group interacts well with the client and I don't foresee any problems.
Problems or Concerns:
Nichelle Rourke from the Sonoma County Folk Society group from the Business of Web Design class submitted the Client Proposal report
Client Meetings:
We meet with the client once a month and communicate via email otherwise. They have increased email communication and have been good about answering questions and submitting content.
Meeting Accomplishments -
The Web proposal meeting went very well because we were able to discuss many important parts of the website. Only the main director and one other person represented the client at this meeting, while our entire team was available for the first time. Printing out each page of the shell site helped to clarify each page and the final expectations for each. I also created a photo catalog in html of every photo submitted by the client. The client was able to give me all the important information for each photo, and at the meeting was able to select exactly which pictures he chose for each page.
Client/Team Interactions:
Both our team and the client remain excited about this project, which makes interaction very relaxed. Each member emails the specific client member when necessary and gets good responses in return. I think all problems can be worked out. Even if final content is not received we can use what we have available. I have faith that any problems with creating the site will be worked out.
Problems or Concerns:
Mark Foote from the American Philharmonic group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report
Client Meetings:
Our client has been very responsive to team emails, and we have had no problem arranging meetings and discussing the design, content, and proposal so far.
Meeting Accomplishments -
The meeting went very well, and the client signed off on every page of the content and on the deliverables/design mock-ups. Since we are basically redesigning an existing site, we all have an excellent idea of what is expected in terms of the final content, and I think our client understands the differences we have put forward for the new design. The only loose end I can see is the actual implementation and testing of some of the pages that involve server-side content, but the client does understand that we will only be providing links to that content, and we are not responsible for the server-side aspects of the functionality.
Client/Team Interactions:
I think we have excellent rapport with our client, and I don't see any problems at this point in the process.
Problems or Concerns:

Client Meetings:
I have had only email communication with the client however we have met as a team with the client on several occasions now and our PM has regular email and phone communication with them.
Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting went well, we got some things that needed covered taken care of and last minute changes done. The client has a good understanding of what they are going to get. We also covered the remaining things we need from the client so we can begin production.
Client/Team Interactions:
I see no problems at this stage everyone is communicating well from my view.
Problems or Concerns:
Susan Bergna from the PFSP group from the Web Content Practicum class submitted the Client Proposal report
Client Meetings:
We have met face-to-face with the client twice. I have communicated via e-mail with the client fairly often (probably at least once a week). I have called the client 3-4 times to get feedback and ask questions.
Meeting Accomplishments -
Our PM took care of the web proposal. I had gotten the OK on the design before the proposal was finished so was able to start coding. Katia e-mailed me last week to let me know they were happy with the design and no changes were needed. She also mentioned they had a new logo but she hasn't yet sent it to me. They might not send it at all and just add it to the site themselves. As far as I know there are no loose ends but we haven't heard from our PM as to when it was signed or if they need anything else.
Client/Team Interactions:
Our interactions are fine. Katia has made it clear that the PFSP board doesn't have time to deal with the creation of a website right now, that we won't receive any more information from them and that they just want to be taught how to add content and make changes on their own. The design is fine and they are happy with the navigation bar. (Which was the one thing that was absolutely specified.) We know where we stand and all is OK.

Client Meetings:
I've had three face-to-face meetings with our client, and these have been very productive. They are not internet-savvy at all and I personally have not had any email from them although I've sent several. Most of our communications have been between the client and our team's PM.
Meeting Accomplishments -
Our first Web Proposal meeting went well, but we had to spend some time describing how our mockup pages and shell site pages would be transformed to their live site. They had some last minute minor changes to content and have since signed off on the proposal. I'm not aware of any loose ends at this point.
Client/Team Interactions:
Our group communications with the client are excellent. I don't foresee any problems at this point.
Problems or Concerns:

Client Meetings:
Mostly by email and in person; including a few phone calls. Mainly to confirm meetings, etc. Then one final meeting with the client, to get signed off on the proposal.
Meeting Accomplishments -
Went pretty well; only a few changes needed to be made. Client understands how things will work, once the site is put together. I think things are pretty wrapped up, to begin production.
Client/Team Interactions:
We all have explained the process of how things work, by putting the proposal togethe. Also, how the web site will be put together and soon ready for testing. Seems things are running smoothly at this point.

Client Meetings:
We have had numerous emails with our client, and a total of three face-to-face meetings. I don't know how many emails total but at least 30-40 over the course of the semester - and that guess is probably on the low end.
Meeting Accomplishments -
The web proposal meeting went very well. I brought my laptop computer, opened up each page of the shell site, and let the client make any changes right there on the spot. This really seemed to speed up the process! I think we are about ready to start production soon :)
Client/Team Interactions:
I don't see any problems at this stage.

I have communicated mostley thru email with 4 face to face meetings which has all been going well. I touch base with the client at least 2x a week but between me and the rest of the team several times a week. I think this will be slowing as we have recived most of info we need to proceed.
Meeting Accomplishments -
Great, everything was acomplished and signed off. We were thuro in going over proposal elemts and shell site, client feel good with results. We will have desing layout approved by friday.
Client/Team Interactions:
I think the client is doing there best but expects to much sometimes. when I let them know our limitations they are very nice about it thou. challanging client but i like it becuase I am still doing well with them and learning so much. no problems we havent worked out. Still wondering about wordpress.

I have recieved e-mails and have spoken to Krisha with the rest of the team, at face to face meetings. If I need things (like logos), I am in contact with Krisha via e-mail and she has always responded right away. We meet with the client every other week and talk back and forth via e-mail in between meeting dates.
Meeting Accomplishments -
We all met at Starbucks, sat down and went over the Web Proposal one page at a time (which was necessary to make sure the client knew fully what was going to be expected from us. Each of us spoke about the parts we contributed and what the parts meant. We went through the shell site, page by page. Krisha totally understood what the new site would look like (with the exception of the loose ends that needed to be completed). There are still some loose ends left to complete prior to beginning, but I'm sure we will be seeing the changes soon.

Client/Team Interactions:
Once the design is completed, I do not foresee any problems arising as we are all ready to get the project started. The client seemed pretty happy with what she was saw and signed the minutes which stated the "loose ends" that needed completing. I believe we all are interacting well with the client in the face to face meetings and via e-mail.

Client Meetings:
The team has been meeting with the client on a regular schedule. We meet face to face approximately every two weeks and communicate through email for other times.
Meeting Accomplishments -
The team met off-site with the client on 3.12.2009 regarding the web proposal. We went through the deliverables, storyboard, mock-ups, shell site, and the contract. The client and the team make minor suggestions and we all initialed the pages and signed the contract. I sent out minutes of the meeting that the client agreed was correct. All loose ends were summarized in the minutes.
Client/Team Interactions:
The group is interacting very well with the client. Questions are being asked and the client has reponded. I don't anticipate any problem with the client.
