I checked the site on my Apple iTouch and I was amazed at how well it worked. Slide show, galleries and links all worked very well. The site fit into the display perfectly!
Yoshi checked the site on his Apple iPhone with the same results.

I have tried to evaluate Greenacre Homes website http://www.srjctest.com/ but on reading Adobe FAQ I found out a new release of Browserlab 1.6 (in summer 2011) will address Content Management Systems. Not now.

I thought this was an important exercise as there are many users that use various types of computers, screen sizes, browsers, tablets, smart phones. Some of these such as the tablet, smart phone and netbook were not tested by classmates. Therefore, I performed testing on these devices.
After completing this hardware/software testing, I feel more confident that our website for Habitat For Humanity has been done well and is a success since there were very few problems.

The website is working correctly with alll current brosers as well as the older versions. The only exception to this was using IE7, which slightly shifts the page layout. The most noticeble IE7 issue is with the photo gallery thumbnails. This browser doesn't display the thumbnails as a 4x4 grid. Otherwsie the slideshow works.

Overall, the layout of the site was fairly standard across different browsers with the exception of IE in quirks mode.

This is a good assignment to do. It shows how important it is to test all sites on all platforms, browsers and monitors.

I was surprised by how limited my testing was up to this point, compared to the testing for this assignment. What I thought I had tested to be the same on all browsers turned out to be different.

The challenge for this assignment was to locate old system architectures, old system operating systems and systems with slow internet access to assess both the accessibility and functionality of the site. The surprise was that the old systems did quite well, although the new flash music and video players didn't work as one could have predicted. The old systems loaded the images as fast as the new systems. The only real notable difference was in the color depth of the standalone monitors vs laptop monitors. Side by side, the standalone monitors displayed a pale washed out image of what the laptops displayed.

Very enlightening, to try out the site at the Disability Resources Center. Turns out the screen reader reads the same text on the forms that sighted readers are reading, so it doesn't much matter what's in the label tags.

This part of testing is good as it can reveal the need for modifications or hacks to best meet the majority of users. One thing that becomes apparent, it will not be possible to satisfy all the users all the time.
