My .css file is athom.css, all of my pages link to it. The index has a link to the embedded index page ("Click here for more pretty colors!").

I did not create a file and name it file index-embed.html because my original index file has had the embedded css in it all along. What I did do was strip the embedded css out and create the external style sheet and added to the styles as per Part 2 of the assignment. I hope that this will not cause me to lose 10 points on top of the points I have already lost for turning this in late. Thank you.

Which I may eliminate. I realize I need to reorganize my site. I think I need a folder for each artist in the artist folder. I will turn in my css page late I would still like for you to look at it. WoW have we ever covered a lot in a short time.

Due to time constraints this week I was unable to implement all the changes I wish to make to my site. However, I believe I've completed all the requirements for this weeks assignment. The page with my embedded styles is index-embed.html. I have two external .css files: kitchen.css and recipe.css. Although these two pages contain the same rules currently, I plan to tailor them for very individual looks. I anticipate having these updated by the end of the week. CSS validator icon is on the bottom of each page and each page validates.

My home page (index-embed.html) has the embedded styles. My external css file is called smiles.css and the web pages that are linked to the external css file are: Facts, PhotoGallery, Links and Contact. All pages got the “Green” pass from the validator….. Also, I checked my external css file with http://jigsaw.w3.org/. I spent a few hours on the color scheme very time consuming, but fun. This was great to see the web pages come to life :-) Having a problem when web site is displayed on student server. I have to click on index-embed.html to have my site displayed.

Embedded styles on index-embed.html on the server. The external .css file is jamesart.css, and I validated this on the jigsaw.we.org site by loading the file into the validator. All the web pages are now linked to the external css file, using color in background and text, indenting, border, styles, specific link colors for phases, font specification, em specifics, a class and other effects as shown. I validated each html page online. This lesson was perhaps the most fun of all. As you pointed out, tinkering can become nearly addictive. I cannot wait to learn how to shape the pages more aesthetically.

I added an external .css file (kooper.css) for all the css styles added to the pages, which are the following: Background color added; Changed the color of h1 and h2 to a light blue, font: verdana and added an inset border under the h2 tag and centered the text. Also, I made the

text the same color as the h1 & h2 tags and made the font-style italic and the font-weight bold. Padding at 25px was added to the pages.

I had a lot of fun working with the css code. It makes sense to me to keep all the instructions on a separate page. Most of the assignment requirements can be seen on the index page. The big problem I am having is that the code I submitted earlier is still present on the server, and now I want to upload the new code without overwriting what is there. I have submitted this week's assignment in a new folder called Lesson6. I hope this keeps the two assignments separate, even though most of the file names are the same for both assignments. The embedded css is found at index-imbed.html and the external .css file is index.css. All other files are linked to index.css.
