The rollovers on this site are consistant throughout the different pages, which makes it easy to navigate. I also like the subdued colors, the rollovers don't jump out at you, but they are easy to read. The web designer used a technique I haven't seen, the rollovers appear left to right starting with a gradient appearance changing to the full box appearing. You can get from one page to any other without having to go back to the home page. All the links are interactive and there are some nice buttons that change background and text colors to the opposite colors they start as. It is all very atractive and well thought out.

The disney site has great rollover navigation. It is easy to navigate and has pictures and text to make it easy for kids. The rollover menus allow an amazing number of links off of this one page without it seeming overwhelming. The sounds linked with the rollovers add interest too.

A very clean site with rollover menus and as a added bonus a rollover that also shows images based on the rollover. It all works in a clean uncluttered way.

This website belongs to a friend of mine. I have always been attracted to the presentation and colors on the site. It uses simple rollovers on the navigation where there is only one page and remote rollovers when there is more than one topic under the heading. I think it is an effective way to show information about the content; it's user friendly and attractive. I don't think download speed is affected at all.

This website is for Exchange Bank. Their home site has navigational buttons along the top, and right and left side. the top changes color upon hover, the right side adds an underline upon hover. The left nav, however, does have remote pop-outs, that allow selection. these popouts are very handy for quick access to further pages. my only thought is that while they are convenient while browsing, the popouts do cover up text. I'm not sure yet that this makes a difference...I just know that while I am surfing that I poke around on a page without any intention of moving deeper, and I'm usually disappointed by popouts covering up information I may wish to read...maybe.

This may be a weird reason to pick it, but I really like how the navigation has the options pop up, and I also chose it because I do think that with a little bit of practice and work that I could be able to do this in the near future. I have never really like rollovers of any kind before I did this because I felt intimidated by them, but now I am very impressed with what people can do with them knowing what it takes to make them now.
