Boardwalk Casino

Our "local" time was spent at the Boardwalk Casino. As casinos go, the Boardwalk is a far cry from its neighbor, the Monte Carlo, but you could easily find your way in and out, and the beer was free (with the purchase of a roll of quarters). We felt quite at home! The only thing we didn't have was the ability to shake dice with each other for the next round of drinks. Surprisingly, most of the casino bars we were in did not give you the ability to gamble for the drinks, but being the resourceful kind of guys we were, we found a way. Each guty would put one quarter in their video poke machine. The cards were dealt and the guy with the low hand bought.

George spent many an hour searching for the elusive royal flush, one night until 3am and the next until 5am, with not a one in sight!

On a side note, across from the Boardwalk was a store pictured here. Curiosity brought me in with the question asked one too many times, "How can you have cuban cigars?"

The store owner replied with, "The sign does not say 'Cuban Cigars', but 'Cuban MADE Cigars'", and directed my attention to the booth at the front of the store and the 'Cuban' rolling cigars. The tobacco, not from his homeland, but Mexico!

Only in Vegas!
