The DRINK Bar

We were given invitations to a Bacardi hosted cocktail party held at the "Drink" nightclub off the strip. Not knowing how many were handed out, we took advantage of the invitation. The cab pulled up to a mob of invitation-holders waiting to get in. Apparently, somewhere in the neighborhood of 5000 invitations were handed out. The bar, at its max, wouldn't be able to accommodate 10% of that number. Martinis were the drink-du-jour and they were free, but when there's only two bartenders serving, it was more waiting than drinking. I wasn't about to brave the crowd at the bar and when I saw Gary making his way to order, I asked him to get one for me. He came back later with not a drink in his hand. I asked him what happened and he said he had the first one at the bar and the second one on the way back, looking for me!

Glen (pictured left) spent his time finding an open spot to stand (there was no place to sit) and sampling the appetizers available. It didn't take us too long to come to a consensus that this was not where we wanted to be and took the next cab back to the strip.
