OUR ROOM R44
Our expectations were low when it came to cabin size so
our first impression was good. Being a family of four limited
our choices. Since we were all staying together, we had to have
a room with 2 uppers and 2 lowers. The Promenade deck had a
few rooms but the most of them were on the Riveria deck and we
weren't staying on an inside room.
As we entered the cabin, we first noticed the large window.
There is also two closets, one open to the front with 5 or
6 double hangers, and another with a bunch of shelves and more
hangers. The remaining storage space is a small desk with
drawers.
There is a small safe in one of the closets, and the
room has a telephone and a television. I was surprised to turn
it on and get ESPN (this was while we were out to sea). The
room was small but not cramped. Putting the bunks up gives
you a little more walking room also. The room also has one
electrical outlet supplying either 110 or 220 volts.
The bathroom was nothing out of the ordinary; toilet,
sink, and shower. The shower is large enough for two adults.
There was also plenty of room behind the double mirrors for
any toiletries we had. The room also has an electrical outlet
but it didn't work.
The room steward kept everything very neat although we didn't leave it too messy when we left for the day. He would come twice a day. Once to make the beds, and clean the bathroom during the day, then once at night to turn down the beds, make some sort of towel animal, and leave a mint on each pillow. I tried to see how the towel animals are formed and never got them to look the same again. I guess I'll leave that to the professionals.
