MINDCONTROL LIST RULES

This mailing list deals with mind control and psyops (covert psychological operations intended to influence mass beliefs and behavior). It is intended to be a clearinghouse for exchange of news and information among researchers.

List rules:

• Limit posts to essential information; no chit-chat, rants, or off-topic posts.

• Fact-check all information. Include the following with your posts, if possible: Source of info (name, title, organization, phone, fax, email), contact date/time, and level of confidence (UNKNOWN SOURCE, KNOWN SOURCE, UNNAMED BUT KNOWN SOURCE, UNRELIABLE SOURCE, RUMOR, AUTHORITY, etc.). Do NOT pass along a rumor or second-hand information unless you've tracked it back to the original source as far as possible. Be aware that some people will attempt to use this list for disinfo.

• If you're copying from a Web site, paste in the complete URL on a line by itself at the beginning. (Please use "paste" for accuracy.)

• Use ">" symbol in front of all quoted lines (the text you're replying to) and limit quoted material to one or two sentences for context. To avoid list overload, do NOT copy entire messages when replying. Note: your email software has an option for automatically adding the ">" symbol in front of each line.

• No attachments. Suggestion: put them on a Web page and provide the URL or copy/paste text into your message. Since attachments may contain viruses, list members are advised to delete messages containing attachments.

• For forwards: Get permission to post private email and state that you have permission. Trim all header lines except Date, From, and Subject.

• Flammers/spammers/hoaxers/disinfo operators will be unsubscribed.

• To avoid irrelevant replies to the list from non-members, do *not* include "mc@topica.com" with other list addresses in a post and do not include this address in a cc: list.
