| On an afternoon walk in Putnam Park in April 1997 I was drawn to a backlit stand of oaks on a hill. The clear light and lush spring growth added to the beauty of the scene. Other prints done from that moment are Live Oaks, Oak Woodland and Putnam Park. This is called a "1 plate edition" because this same plate was used as the blue plate in the print Oak Woodland. After that edition was printed, I etched in more detail on this plate and printed it as a single plate edition. | ||||||||||||||
