Blizzard, ghost edition

I was snow camping by Crater Lake in April 1988. A fog had descended, so we stayed close to camp. I did get out to explore the local area including this grove of pines.

When I was drawing this print I decided to try something different. I dropped rosin on the plate, and then dragged a large brush over it before melting it onto the plate. That is how the "blizzard" effect was gotten.

One day I accidentally printed the plate without re-inking it. Usually this results in a throwaway, but this time I liked what it did, so decided to print this "ghost" edition.

The non-ghost print is: Blizzard.

Another print from this trip is: Crater Lake.
