In America we tend to have a lot of pigeons in big cities that scavenge for food among whatever people may drop... in Tokyo, there seems to be a thriving population of crows and ravens that live in the same manner [I've never seen pigeons in Tokyo]. Since Tokyo is the biggest producer of TV shows, movies, and comics in Japan, it's not surprising that crows and ravens have been given great symbolic power in these mediums. Here are some of the crows I managed to get close enough too to get some decent photos of.
