Here they are: click a thumbnail to see the full-sized version.
These are selective thumbnails: there's more to each picture than is shown in its thumbnail.
The newest are at the top, so the art gets progressively older (read: worse) as you go down.

And by the way, this is all © to me, so don't steal.

Some sketches from a recent history class. No, these pix don't have anything to do with history. But they were fun to draw, and the space at the top of the notebook was temptingly blank, and it kept me from falling asleep and drooling. (It was a rather boring class. Just a bit. Okay, a lot.)

Slowly, I learn how to ink. Every once in a while I give it a shot. These are a few of those shots, with some uninked minipictures. I'm quite fond of some of them. (No, I won't say which. You get to choose.)

The Evolution Of The Otremns. Almost all of these came from the paper I brainstormed on when I was trying to figure out what the cool new species would look like. I was looking at monkey and gorilla pictures for inspiration, and I really didn't know where I was going until I was almost there. (And that's braids wrapped around the head of the last one, and tied in front. Sometimes I wear my hair like that, when I'm feeling eccentric.)

Some better otremn pix. This what they really look like, with some variation. These were mostly notebook drawings (that tableau near the top right was inspired by the idjit sitting behind me in history who reeked of cigarettes). And that's an attempt at Rarr, there in the middle (with the ears). So many interesting people on this page...

Here's some otremn color, though that's really too pale of a blue. My colored pencils didn't get the right shade. I like the eyes, though. And the hair. I've decided that those two at the top are siblings. And at the bottom... a hug. Aww. Inspired by two friends of mine (you know who you are) [whee, I love being cryptic].

Silly sketchy pic of Rarr (green phase) with a snowball and not enough snowclothes. I wasn't trying for accuracy. And arrrg, he looks like Pippi Longstockings. It's the freckles. I can't figure out how to draw him with freckles without that resemblance. Sigh.

And here's Rarr without the freckles, and with some funky warm-weather clothes. And his adoptive dad. Evot Trrevu. Huzzah for fun names! [And for opposable toes, even though they're hardly in the picture.]

Once upon a time (okay, recently) I decided that comics looked like a really fun thing to do. So I ended up converting a short scene from the [unnamed] story into comic format. It's sketchy, and a little inaccurate as far as clothes go, but I wasn't trying for perfection. Just for fun. [And I got that.] So, this is page one.

And this is page two. Like I said, I had a lot of fun with it.

A friend of mine has two obsessions: unicorns and cars. Specifically Ferraris and Mustangs. Therefore, I drew her a unicorn in a Ferrari for her birthday, with one of her favorite car-related phrases on the license plate. The plate rim says "Ph34r my L33t driving skillz."

In math class we learned about Fibonacci numbers, and I thought that "Fibonacci" would be a great name for some character with a spiky look [inspired by the pineapple whose spikes we counted for F# sequences]. While this result isn't quite as spiky as I imagined, it's still pretty cool. Meet Fibonacci Numere. I wonder what else I'll do with him; I'll have to think of something.

Slightly different facial types, yay. Anguished look, eeeh. See, Derek? I can draw people who aren't always happy! I just don't like it much. And while this is loosely Rarr, I don't foresee this scene in the story. I's jest fiddlin'. Oh, and that's supposed to be a Robin Hood-style hat he's holding, in case you're wondering.

And to cheer myself up after the last picture, I drew a flying carpet scene. Yaay. Flying carpets are fun, they just are.

Since I'm not one of those people who can come up with creative-and-cool outfits at the drop of a hat, I have to experiment a bit with copying, altering, and mixing clothing I see elsewhere. It's pretty fun, actually. Sorry if you can't read the writing by the pix; I blame the scanner. And the fact that I write flippin' small on drawings.

This is my favorite of the outfits I came up with in the last drawing session: your basic leggings, wrap tunic, and boots, but also with cool flame designs and something approaching a biker jacket. Only problem is, the tunic looks like a miniskirt from behind. I'll have to work on that.
