This is just a quick reminder about the Feb. NCNCA meeting. The meeting will be on Monday the 14th at the usual location, Marie Calendar's Restaurant 2090 Diamond Blvd. in Concord. From 680 take the Willow Pass Rd exit and head east. Turn left ( north) at the first intersection, restaurant is on the right at 4th light on Diamond. The meetings starts a little after 7 pm

Feb. meeting items that I know aobut so far are.

I was just looking at the list of USAC member clubs for CA and I notice the name of several Nor Cal clubs that are showing up as not renewed for this year. The full list of USAC member clubs for CA can be found at the USAC CA club list page.

Clubs are listed based on the city where the club mailing address is.
A partial list of some of the Nor Cal clubs who haven't renewed their USAC club membership for this year are.

Again the above list isn't a complete list of the Nor Cal clubs that are showing up with an expired USAC club membership. Be sure to check the link above to make sure your club has renewed for this year. Riders who try to join your club will have their license come back as unattached if your club hasn't renewed. Also your club can not take out a permit for a race until it has renewed with USAC.

Your club contact, as listed with USAC, can renew your club membership online. Have your club contact sign onto their USAC account and there is a link to manage your club. Click the link and follow the instructions to renew.

Elite 1/2/Pro women please be aware that there was a mistake in the original race Ad for the McLane Pacific Foothills Road Race. The race distance will be 3 laps and 72 miles. The original race Ad stated 4 laps and 96 miles as the race distance and this was a mistake.

A couple of noted about this coming weekend.

Some Early Bird starts will be later than normal. The starts for the masters 35+ new Cat 5s, Women 4s and 1/2/3s will be later than normal. To help deal with the large numbers of Cat 5s we are giving the Masters 35+ new Cat 5s their own separate start time. This will allow us to divide the field into two groups if a lot of riders show up. The Cat 5 men with less than 5 races of experience will still start at 11:15 like normal except they will only race for 40 minutes ( not the 50 minutes they have been racing for). The Masters 35+ Cat 5 new riders ( with less that 5 races of experience) will start at 12:05 ( 50 minutes later than normal) and race for 40 minutes.

Cat 4 women and juniors will start at 12:55 ( 40 minutes later than normal ) and race for 40 minutes.

The Cat 1/2/3 women and men will start at 1:45 ( 30 minutes later than normal) and race their normal 75 minutes.

There is a Clinic for anyone interested in becoming a new race official. Every club that promotes a race should have at least one licensed official. This helps to reduce the expenses of promoting a race. Anyone interested in attending the clinic should email Robert Leibold or call 209-533-4996 for details.

Jan 23rd will be meet the teams day at the 4th Early Bird. So far 21 teams have said they will be at the race so this is a good time for anyone who doesn't already have a racing team for 2005 to come out and check out a lot of the local teams. For more details about the Early Birds see
