Episode 1 Gary Galleron
Gary
Galleron was born with Rutherford dust under his fingernails
and Cabernet Sauvignon in his veins. Gary grew up playing
in the vineyards on the street which bears his family
name, Galleron Road. After spending most of his youth
picking grapes, pruning vines and lighting smudge pots,
Gary went on to graduate from California State University,
Fresno with a degree in viticulture and enology in 1976.
That same year, Gary started up the winemaking ladder
at Chateau Montelena under the guidance of Mike Grgich.
Since then, Gary has gone on to produce world-class,
award-winning wines for some of the most prestigious
names in the Napa Valley including Whitehall Lane, Grace
Family, Hartwell, Vineyard 29, Del Dotto, Seavey, S.
Anderson, Chateau Montelena, William Harrison Vineyards
and Mario Perelli-Minetti Winery.
Join us as we meet Gary Galleron through candid conversation,
informative walks through the vineyards, and tastings
including unique bottles and barrels in process. We will
also enjoy some of the sights of Napa Valley including
Hot Air Ballooning and the Napa Valley Wine Train. Come
experience a unique view of the wine industry and learn
about "The Art of Wine".
