"The most arresting visual exhibit is the Stellarium."

The Washington Post, December 12, 1992, by Joel Achenbach

Stellarium Prices

The table below is a general price guide for Stellarium 3D star maps.  The number of stars is a suggested range for each size. Too many stars may make the stars appear unrealistically crowded, and too few make it look vacant. Price is determined by the size, the number of stars, and features included.  Internal star ID markers are provided for landmark stars included in a map.

There are no fixed sizes for Stellarium 3D star maps.  Each one is custom made so that it can fit exactly into your available space. Many special features have been made, but the most impressive map is simply the largest one possible.  There are no size limits. The largest yet produced have been 4 maps of 8 foot diameter.  The greatest number of stars has been 816.  A Stellarium over 6 meters (20 ft.) diameter, with up to 3496 stars is possible. (Something we would love to build because want to see one!) I think that such a giant would be the most stunning, awe inspiring astronomy exhibit ever produced.  In creating a Stellarium exhibit human imagination is the limiting design factor.
