But, what has this to do with libraries?
- As agencies become data-baronies, must libraries pay full access fees?
- If agencies are to protect their revenue stream, must libraries be prohibited from offering [gasp!] free access to public records -except by printing them or displaying them on library terminals?
- Will depository libraries be prohibited from having modern access to modernized public records?
Will they be prohibited from allowing patrons from having
remote online access to public records,
even though they offer such access to all other digital information?
- Will law libraries be prohibited from receiving and/or providing online access to public court documents, even though they are already computerized to aid in court efficiencies and cost-savings?
- Will libraries be forced to become fee-collectors for agency peddlers?
