What'll be left of our icky ol' democratic principles?
- The California Public Records Act clearly intended equal access -
free access for review purposes and minimal, at-cost copying fees.
- Democracy requires equal access to government;
- not government only for those who can buy it -
big-bucks first-class citizens vs. a peon-class information-poor.
- An absolute prerequisite for a free society is that its citizens must have
timely access
- to adequate information
- on which to base sound decisions
- about their [our!] participation
- in the process of our own governance.
It's possible, now more than ever.
What can you do? Speak NOW -city, county,state.
