E-Mail Notify E-Mail Notify is a nifty system tray-based
email checker with several useful options. It checks multiple email accounts at
once -- both POP3 and Hotmail. Most programs of this type assume you have a
dedicated Internet connection. If you don't, E-Mail Notify uses your dial-up
connections to automatically log on and check your mail. Once it finds mail,
you can either launch your email client or use a built-in one that includes an
address book and attachment support. The program also supports spam filtering,
which is done by specifying "kill" words in the subject or from the header, or
listing senders to consider spam. Other options include user-defined automatic
checking and multiple ways to be notified when you have new mail, including
sound, starting your screensaver or blinking keyboard keys. As a bonus, it
provides several Windows and Internet utilities that enable you to retrieve
your IP address, hide your desktop, disable system keys, and more.
GET YOUR MICROSOFT OFFICE /
WORD UPDATES HERE Periodically, Microsoft reaches both casual and professional
users of Office 97 and Office 2000 saying, "Here's a little bug fix, patch, or
enhancement for you." If you don't maintain your Office installations by
applying the interim releases and fix files from Microsoft, there are two
possible consequences. First, a bug you never heard of could be causing
incorrect results or system crashes for your users. Second, you might be
missing out on a cool new or enhanced feature in the software.
Most of
the fix files Microsoft makes available on the Web are extremely easy to
install. You download an executable file to your desktop, and then double-click
it to launch the installer. Follow the prompts to completion, and then you can
delete or move the file you downloaded.
As you probably know, Microsoft
moves and renames sites fairly frequently. Click through to obtain the latest
news about Office 97 and Office 2000, various software updates, and some great
Office tools. http://www.microsoft.com/office/

ALL I NEED TO KNOW I LEARNED FROM NOAH'S ARK.
. .
- Don't miss the boat.
- Remember that we are all in the same
boat.
- Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built
the Ark.
- Stay fit. When you're 600 years old someone may
ask you to do something really big.
- Don't listen to critics; just get on with the
job that needs to be done.
- Build your future on high
ground.
- For safety's sake travel in
pairs.
- Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails
were on board with the cheetahs.
- When you're stressed, float
awhile.
- Remember amateurs built the Ark; professionals
built the Titanic!
