Scott Reid

Scott Reid, MA, teaches poetry workshops in the San Francisco Bay Area.

In 1979, I began teaching The Albany Poetry Workshop in the East Bay at the Albany Adult School.

In 1996, I taught poetry at Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, and I continued teaching off-campus at The Sitting Room in Cotati.

Currently I teach as an adjunct faculty member of the Special Education & Seniors Program at Santa Rosa Junior College, where I present autobiography writing courses for Sonoma County elders.

My love of teaching extends to Sonoma County youngsters, where I also currently teach throughout the year as a California Poet in the Schools (CPITS). I work with second grade through high school students in the towns of Healdsburg, Geyserville, and Calistoga.

My publications include poems appearing in The Berkeley Poetry Review, Tomcat, Blue Unicorn, Melic Review, The Dickens, First Leaves, and The Sow's Ear Review.

I've received fellowships from the Squaw Valley Community of Writers, The Napa Valley Writers' Conference, and The Bread Loaf Writers' Conference.

I currently live in Healdsburg, California.
